Thanks and aye :-) I was trying hard to not step on his toes (don't want him banging on my door in a bad mood lol) so my Tiefling guy is a bit smaller and different breed. There can only be one Big Red in Skyrim :)

A new world of fun creating a new race. It looks to be coming along well if you have the head parts figured out and the description page done.

Thanks Wade! The ears were the hardest part - getting them to use the proper skin tinting. The rest is just getting through all the settings now.

This is looking really good! I tried to make a custom race years ago - you know, back when Nuska's assets hadn't been used to their fullest yet. It didn't go too well for me haha. I'm glad you're having better luck than I was, especially with the whole headparts, hairstyles, and formlists mess that comes with character creation. Your images are looking very crisp in this batch, by the way. Sorta similar to how downsampled images look if that makes sense. A little bit uncharacteristically colourful for you too haha, it's a nice look.

      Many thanks Artsick!

My goal was to keep it simple and I prefer being able to use all the existing textures and sliders built into the game for more variety. So I took the path of making the horns and ears permanent and non-adjustable - that way all the vanilla options are there and work fine. I did have to do a few formlists but nothing to crazy and no custom head/body folders are needed - it will use vanilla assets outside of the horn mesh/textures and ear mesh. I wasn't even thinking of releasing it ... but may change my mind. Going to see about a female option and some additional skin tones.

Every now and then I need to break away from my traditional Somber based presets and the one used in the main shot works well for a different style ;)

Thanks very much Izzy! Going to see if I can expand on it a little for females and some other skin tones.

I really like his expression on the first picture in the description... its so like "What? Who are you.. and why are you making a photo now?" and the last image hits exactly my taste... skin/eye/haircolor... bodyform... this little cheeky look in his face
Fantastic showcase of your creation and testing progress

Thank you! I like playing with expressions, especially slightly vague ones that let the viewer decide what is going on :)

I odn't know who I will end up with. The last shot is the most consistent across ENB and locations. Also works best with outfits. But I also admit I love the deep red and black hair look because it is so mischievous.

Very nice work Jonathan! I'm guessing your fire mage was the inspiration for this delve into a whole new race? I like it! The rings on the horns looks great too.

Many thanks Patrick! If my fire mage was the inspiration it was all on the subconscious/unconscious level. In my mind the inspiration came more from a desire to simply play a Tiefling as I am working on a project and they fit it well. He looks fiendish although he doesn't have any affinity for fire. More illusions, charm, and rogue abilities.

As i told you on fb, the dark one is my favorite, but both versions are outstanding. I would like to have a Chaos Tiefling as a follower, but i play only SSE at the moment, and i know, the SSE is not what you like :-)
    Greatly done Jon!

Thanks Heidi! I am still working on which one I want to play. The dark red needs some more work as it is not a consistent red across locations. I only have the male version for now anyhow and I know you prefer to play the ladies :-)

This is a really cool work, what is made with care and precision. Your race project looks great Jon, they are really seems so smooth for me, can talk a hole in your belly but they are dangerous as hell at the same time.
