Extraordinary contribution with so many possibilties for the theme! I've always liked how you're able to place a character within a landscape and make him/her look small, yet very natural in the environment. They're almost like landscape shots, but with a single person standing there to give the image a better dynamic, roaming through the wild or simply observing the path that waits ahead. Now that I've seen your very first theme over at the Fallout 4 section too, I kind of feel you perhaps got your idea when taking many of the shots included in this set. Lots of them work superbly for a "Venture Forth".based theme as well which is cool since my theme is "You shall not pass" and quite the exact opposite. It's funny and very intriguing how an image can tell so many stories depending upon how we see it...

Again, forgive me for missing your set at first...and thanks for the headache you gave me when I had to pick only two out of these artworks!

Thanks Rick! Yep, you got it in one- I'm glad that my intentions with these compositions have been effectively conveyed. Straight up landscapes usually need more dynamism than is usually present in a computer-generated environment to function effectively. Add a tiny person in there and that immediately provides a focal point, along with a dose of asymmetry to provide a dynamic path for the eye to take as it roves over the image.

It occurred to me about a minute after the first FO4 theme went live that our two themes were, as you say, mirror images! I love that kind of thing. I've got a couple more FO4 themes lined up, but after that, per my comrade AntaresParallax's suggestion, would you be up for some intentionally synchronized themes between worlds?

I believe I saw that being mentioned in one of the comments to a set contributed to your theme - the idea of synchronized themes - and I liked it. Perhaps not each and every time, since I have a lot of themes I want to do and I even have a few suggestions made by other members. I would also need to be very busy to make an invitation set for my theme and a contribution to your theme, even if we collaborate, and I would surely not be able to keep it up if it's too frequently. But again, the idea is brilliant and a cross match between two different world environments, triggers me a lot, so yeah, that's something we could do for...say every fifth or sixth theme or something. Lets catch up with some ideas about a combined theme after a few more single sets. It would make the event more established in the FO4 scene too. Sounds good?

Sounds good to me. I've got enough solid themes lined up for FO4 to take me through the end of December, and further if need be. Maybe kick the new year off with a double-header? Either way, let's check in via PM and brainstorm up some possible combo themes.

I really like yourvidea to use the landscape and the persons inside to interpret this theme. It works perfectly for me and shows very impressive, that the harshness of Skyrim itself is one of the strongest barriers ... wonderful pics. Too many to pointbone out. Simple a pleasure to admire

Thanks for saying! At the time it seemed like a bit of a stretch on the theme, but it sounds like folks get where I was going with it. Always good to see another Tom Waits fan, too.

Clever interpretation :O I don't think I would've thought about it that way, tbh. Beautiful pictures, btw. I really love those few in that orange birch forest.

Thank you! I went a little nuts taking shots in the fall forest. There are plenty more to come from those sets...
