Howdy. Love this mod idea. I was previously using a different spirit emblem rebalance but this is a much more elegant solution. I actually like the idea of doubling costs to balance this out. I saw some others here noting that they were receiving multiple spirit emblems at once. I encountered the same bug. I did some troubleshooting and realized that if you install this mod on an existing save, then you get 3x the spirit emblem gain (when you would gain 1 you gain 3 instead). This issue seems to be remedied if you start a new game or move to NG+. Thought you might want to know to update your mod description that this is a potential bug.

Love this mod so much. I'm really looking forward to your sekiro overhaul. Cheers m8

Thank You glad you liked it

I've updated the mod to fix the three emblem glitch plus a few others, the game has a system to use different ItemLots based on progression flags which is how enemies drop better upgrade material as the game progresses. Turns out I had that bool enabled and the game was using the Lot I made for reducing the Flamethrower cost (which awards three emblems) after you progress the time of day for the first time.

Hello! Great mod! How can i change the values of things from this mod? I personally don't like that every spirit emblem move is doubled, i use ninjutsu a lot but 10, 11, 12 spirit emblems per move is very pricey.
  3. Anyone know how to combine this mod with the Malevolence mod?

Words can not describe how much I love this mod. I fucking hate the vanilla spirit emblem system, it's passive, boring and grindy. I also fkng hate no spirit emblem cost because it's borderline cheating and cheesy. This, this should have been the Spirit Emblem system in the first place. It's dynamic, balance, fun and gives player more rewards and motivation to do combat. Everything is just perfect. (except the Ninjutsu cost, it's a bit ridiculous). Thank you so much for saving Sekiro for me.

Hello SkyworlAngel! What files did you edit in c0000.anibnd.dcx and what software would you recommend to help merge your c0000.anibnd.dcx with another c0000.anibnd.dcx from another mod?

I have edited the deflect, dodge and jumping animations. These are simplistic though there are a lot of jumping animations that you will have sift through if you can transfer the TAE files without any conflicts then good on ya.

I've never merged two animation files together so you are better off asking in ?ServerName? the Souls modding discord

What did you do with those animation exactly? Like making them having more iframes?? I would like to use another dodging animation mod which uses the same file but I'm not sure if the mod would work normally without this file.

They don't have more i-frames those remain the same, dodging has three speffects on the animation which is all done to detect the player being hit during i-frames and to prevent build-up buildup from happening should you dodge the beginning of an attack but still get hit by the attack after i-frames disappear. I also added build-up speffects to the deflecting animations.

If you want to add these effects to another mod then you will need to add the effects I added to every applicable animation in the other chr file. There dodging and deflecting are somewhat simple it's jumping that has tons of animations.

I absolutely adore this mod; I think the way it allows more experimentation with arts and prosthetics is amazingly fun. I've noticed though that when I gain spirit emblems from this mod it's 3 at once every few hits, which seems like a lot! This occurs even if it's the only mod I have installed. I tried to figure out how to edit it to give me only one or two each time but I couldn't really figure it out; I've never modded a game before. Do you have any advice?

I thank you or the kind words, encouraging experimentation is one thing I wanted to do when making the mod.

However getting three emblems every few hits is not intended and I think it might be due to the build-up overflowing over the threshold. It is possible for the build-up to be equal to double the initial buildup in which case it takes longer to clear meaning that the event that rewards the spirit emblem doesn't wait long enough before running again and ends up running three times before it's cleared. This is just a guess as I don't get the same result when testing this in my overhaul so either I fixed it there or there's something wrong on your end.

Do you use the FpsUnlocker by chance?

Thanks for replying! I do not; do you think using it would fix the problem?

I'm super looking forward to this overhaul of yours, by the way :)

No I was assuming that it was the source of the problem. I checked the events I used or this mod and it's the same on both ends and I am not getting this issue.
As I was typing that first sentence I remembered that I had an issue with dodge regain. Whenever I dodged an attack I'd get a bunch of emblems and that was fixed with add a waiting period to the event. Are you getting this issue when dodging attacks or does it happen when you just attack and deflect? I thought I fixed the issue before I released the update but maybe not.

It was easiest for me to spot the existence of the bug when attacking because I can spam attack while looking at the spirit emblem counter. After hitting an enemy a few times the number increases by 3.

Well, after going to new game plus and then futzing about with the mod folder so I could try out a different skin mod, I have apparently somehow fixed the problem! I have no clue what did it but now I only gain 1 spirit emblem every 3 or 4 attacks/deflects. So... yay?

What's the map folder for? Is it necessary?
Also where's the meter that indicates when I can gain an emblem?

The map folder adds five additional emblems to the Sunken Valley to accommodate the new cost, it isn't necessary you could change it to where each one of those emblems gives you 2 instead of 1 in ResourceItemLotParam.

There is no meter, adding a meter would be rather difficult as I would have to write a .dll mod to hook into the exe to display it and make sure it is accurate. There is no easy way that I am aware of to add it without hooking into the exe

I see. Considering I simply just changed all the emblem costs of everything to 1 I didn't even notice the extra emblems.

I'm having fun with this mod and the weapon wheel mod right now. God the kind of shits I can do now that I'm not so limited by the spirit emblems and can switch tools and arts on the fly. Now this is the real shinobi experience. I always hated how they limited spirit emblems so much, you can't really freely use the tools, which is an essential part of the game.

How can I change the emblem consumption?

You need to get DsMapStudio to edit params and UXM to unpack your game then you can edit EquipParamWeapon to change emblem cost.
If you want more help you can go to ?ServerName? which is the FromSoft modding discord for more help if you need it.
