Scarface: The World is Yours is one of these games which nowadays are unplayable out of the box, graphical corruptions present on nearly all modern machines makes the game impossible to play without using unofficial fixes, not to mention the downgraded textures originally present in the PC version, and also cut effects such as blood, sparks and much more.

The Remastered Project aims to make the game playable and beautiful, with crisp textures and with restored effects, just don't forget that this is amateur work, and everything you see is subject to change.






FEATURES:

Main Enhancements:
  • Texture and Sound Enhancements: Immerse yourself in improved game aesthetics with approximately 90% of textures either remade, AI upscaled, or remastered, overall we've added approximately 2500 new textures, spanning from terrain to billboards and wine labels, ensuring a consistent 80s atmosphere throughout the game. Minor issues are continuously addressed with each release.
  • NPCs Enhancements: All NPCs have received texture and meshes update too.
  • Restoration of Cut Effects: Restored missing effects from the PS2/Wii release, such as grenade launcher explosions and gun sparks.
  • New Weapon Models and Sounds: Enjoy refreshed weapon visuals and audio for an enhanced gameplay experience.
  • Ambience and Cutscene Restoration: Reworked and restored ambience, cutscene sounds, and effects for better immersion.
  • Audio Balancing: All game audio has been rebalanced, ensuring a consistent and immersive auditory experience throughout the game.
  • Reshade Filter Addition: Recently introduced reshade filter to match the PS2 coloring, elevating visual fidelity.
  • Remastered Cars: All cars have undergone remastering for improved graphical quality aswell.

    Performance and Quality of Life Enhancements:
  • Experience game-breaking graphical corruption fixes and improved performance on modern multi-core machines.
  • Enable the game to utilize all CPU cores, resulting in significant performance enhancements.
  • Introduce a cache for D3D resources, substantially reducing stutter during city exploration.
  • We've expanded the list of selectable resolutions.
  • Transfer game settings from the Registry to a settings.ini file in the game directory, resolving potential issues with saving settings.
  • We've ensured Scarface's now runs on modern systems by addressing native compatibility issues.
  • Enjoy precise and responsive mouse controls, enhancing aiming accuracy and overall gameplay.
  • Gamepad compatibility through Xidi, ensuring seamless Scarface gameplay with your preferred gamepad, including refined handling for braking, accelerating, aiming, and shooting using triggers.
  • New D3D9 Wrapper, some of the features allow you to activate windowed mode and set your desired FPS limit, guaranteeing a customizable gaming experience.
  • You can now also dive straight into the action as the mod automatically bypasses the game's introduction sequence videos.

    Limitations in Modifications:
  • Fix original mission bugs.
  • Fix dynamic blood shader on Tony and NPCs (Files are present in the game, but the code has been cut on this release).
  • Fix the broken windshield shader in cars.
  • Alter the soundtrack of the game to use only songs from the 80s, due to copyright issues, of course.
  • Implementing a proper main menu.

    INSTALLATION:

    This mod was built and tested based on the US Release of the game, any other release of the game is not officially supported thus the mod might not run.

    • Place all the contents of the zip file on your game installation folder
    • Right click on the Installer.bat and run as a Administrator.
    • Select the desired option.
    • Wait patiently the process to end
    • Enjoy the Remastered Project.
    NOTE: IF YOU DON'T GET REMASTERED TEXTURES IN-GAME SIMPLY MOVE THE CONTENT FROM INSIDE THE "MOD CONTENT" FOLDER ONTO THE MAIN GAME FOLDER AND CLICK ON REPLACE ALL.
