Thank You! You have KILLED the (redacted) FOG. No longer am I wondering why every single room in the game looks like everyone should be gagging and grasping for breath because of heavy smoke permitting every square inch of the game! That is a massive QOL improvement for this game. Please pass however you did that over to the devs. Cause that should totally be a thing to toggle off in the game settings.
I just used it for the newest "Alex Murphy" edition from Steam and it made the game playable.
My hardware easily exceeds the reccomended but the game was still stuttering horribly until I applied this mod (insane version). After applying the mod I went back into the settings and turned a few things back on. I'm also using Reshade for FakeHDR and LUT.
I'm actually here to thank the author. The game was unplayable before.
Has anyone been able to solve the problem with DoF? Setting the value to default 2 does not correct the blurring of characters. And I don't want to completely disable DoF either.
I just want to make textures load promptly >.< I tried this mod with high hopes but unfortunately it didn't help that issue.
EDIT: Actually, this has helped considerably, I think, for the most part. Some texture still definitely have issues and either don't load or take forever. This mod seems to be causing issues with DOF during some cutscenes though. I also added r.Lumen.HardwareRaytracing=1 and r.Lumen.Reflections.HardwareRayTracing=1 to my Engine.ini in with hopes of forcing hardware Lumen. RTX 3080. Unsure if they're effective yet.
With this mod, for me textures now take time to load, small parts by small parts on the map, sometimes some stay in low res. I also have the problem of characters being completely blurred at certain angles during cutscenes. Pavement still looks like ant colonies with DLSS for me and TSR now have a lighting bug where certain small spots produce a blinding flash loke bolts on Robo armor; or the presence of certain small white round artefacts. I've followed all your recommendations in description and I'm using the latest version of the game.
Everything is super, the detail has increased many times, now the glare on the pavement does not look like Venom or a mass of swarming ants. The only thing is that I enabled vertical synchronization in the config, changed DLSS to DLAA, enabled NvidiaReflexLowLatency=1, and in ScalabilityGroups set everything to 4. And of course I changed the screen resolution to my own. But, there is a question - in dialogs does not work correctly DoF, often close-up blurred when the camera should be focused on the character. How to fix it? I don't want to completely disable the DoF.
Really thankful for the edits! I use 1080p screen, tried Vanilla, was kinda, how do u say, smudgy, blurry. tried this performance one, ruined all the mood/atmosphere, took almost all lighting, fog and reflections away, not good. (should be good for potato PCs tho) tried ur files and it made a BIG improvement on Vanilla, even on 1080p the picture managed to get a LOT crispier and clearer! Only lost 2fps vs vanilla, using Insane version. Had to use quality DLSS either way to get stable 60fps.

I also really want to pull the ADF FOV out a bit, since it way too zoomed in, but that should be simple to do by editing a file.
