It's a small mod that primarily changes all weapon names to their real counterparts. It also changes descriptions, alongside changing other things such as the name of ammo, weapon parts, items etc.
What have you changed?
Changes were made to names and descriptions of Weapons, Ammo, and Weapon Parts. I'm still working on bits and bobs and eventually I'll cover other things so it matches up with the Classic RE4 Version I have uploaded already.
Is it perfect?
No. Which means I'll have to come back to it to proper format the text, and also change other things I haven't changed yet. The way RE Engine, especially for the RE titles do text entries is great, as the game will scale automatically the size of the text blurb to fit in whatever space it is in.
The problem is: This is a pain in the ass to correctly format the text display to not only be how you want it to be, but also to not clip over other pieces of text or be readable (since it can shrink so much it's a pain), and this requires a process of: Change text, go into game, wait for game to load, load into a save file, open inventory and check description, change your text file according, back out, convert file, reinstall mod, repeat process until things are done. This gets worse with other descriptions too, because the game displays them differently, so it means it adds extra steps too, where you have to fiddle with the Merchant and/or Crafting screen.
So take all this, multiply by the amount of weapons, ammo, items etc the game has, and it's just chaos. xD
I have found a weird bug/glitch with the mod! What do I do?
First, breath slowly, don't panic. Secondly, you're free to post a bug report here on the mod page, post a comment with your issue.
