Not sure if you still mod, but while playing RE4 Remake I couldn't help but feel that the weapon sounds were amazing (including the sounds of damage such as flesh being ripped by bullets) and I was wondering if it was possible to backport some of that sound design to RE2 Remake.
Hey, nice work. You seem like a good person to ask since you have experience modding the sounds in this game. Do you know if it's possible to mod all existing weapon sounds in the game to be played louder? I don't think I would mind a lot of the sounds, but they're just so quiet compared to the rest of the game.
Oh that's because they are all in the same sounbank file, there's no way to use both mods at the same time unless you manually merge them together. If you like, I can create a modified file that contains this mod and the 1998 Weapons Sounds.
Edit: Please check the Files tab and see if the new file fixes the issue
I could try modding them, but it might take some time finding the right files and experimenting if the sound effect works well in-game. I agree with you tho like how hard is it for capcom to produce well-mixed and impactful gun sounds for their game lmao
im more than willing to help, just point me to where the files are. just out of curiosity, how come I cant find certain files/folders in re chunk 000,like pl1004,or claire,s default face textures
Good news I've managed to locate the gun's sound files haha just need to test some sound files. I'm not really familiar with the directories of certain textures/models tho, but using quickbms I was able to extract and find most of what I need for the gun sounds. Try checking other similar mod's files and maybe check with the authors if perhaps they used extra tools to extract the files you're looking for
