How does this work to increase perfect pelt chance, exactly? I'm looking for a mod that increases the chance that animals spawn as perfect quality to begin with.
think u need a trainer, i haven't notice any mod which would do this, just spawn the animal dead body with the trainer and skins them, but i would say it ruins the immersion unless u really need it
Actually the Perfect Pelts mod does exactly what I need. There's a version that spawns only perfect animals, but the discretion says it's buggy, which is why I asked about this mod. But I tried it anyway and I'm not having any issues with it so far.
Are you sure the location you have lml installing your file is correct? Reason I ask is because ambientpedmodelsets.meta does not exist at update:/common/packs/base/data/ai/ambientpedmodelsets.meta but it does exist at update:/common/data/ai/ambientpedmodelsets.meta.
The mod menu works if you fix the path in "install.xml" and it looks like this: <?xml version="1.0"?> <EasyInstall> <Name>Better</Name> <Author>Professor</Author> <Link></Link> <Metadata> </Metadata>
Quick question; could this mod cause the game to randomly crash?
I only use about 5 mods; all extremely basic in what they do, and (I think) one of them is causing my game to crash randomly. Trying to pin down which one it might be.
I'm looking for something to make hunting realistic, i.e. single hit kill in head or neck with any rifle or similar will result in good quality, but anything like buckshot or multiple body shots will degrade the materials harvested (pelt etc).
The vanilla system for calculating pelt quality and stuff does not make sense to me, nearly all of them just seem to be "poor" quality by default. Unclear why, exactly.
"Still need the right weapon" means that you still need the correct weapon/ammo to get a perfect pelt, for example, small game arrows for hunting rabbits or squirrels
