I think I found a workaround for the weather to act the way this mod wanted it to function. Whenever you change and save some changes in the .ini file, it will not, for the most part, function properly during the game. That's because all the weather changes and functionality are saved on the .dat file.
The problem with that is if you're changing values in the .ini file, and you already have an existing .dat file, those new changes you made in the .ini file will not be saved and generated on the .dat file, at least for the most part.
The solution is, whenever you change and save values in the .ini file, DELETE the existing .dat file before running the game. Don't worry about deleting the .dat file, it will automatically get created when you run the game. That way, all the new changes you made in the .ini file, will properly work on the newly created .dat file. You can also delete the .log file, just to be sure.
It's a bit of a hassle, to delete the .dat file, every time you make some changes because for the most part, you'll forget about doing it.
I'm hoping a good coder can create a batch script, or an .asi file, that will automatically delete the .dat file and the .log file of this mod after every exit of the game. So that when you run your game once again, you will have a newly created .dat file.
EDIT as of 9/24/24;
I stopped using this mod, and instead use the Longer Weathercycle mod. I added it to my current Visual mod that I use (VDLV) and I have now longer weather cycle.
Much needed mod but definitely seems a little buggy. Thanks.
Edit: From reading more comments and from testing myself, it seems the game forces weathercycle changes a lot which may make this mod seem non-functional. E.g. it seems approaching towns causes bad weather to stop and when the game autosaves the weather also changes.
"using "timescale" fixed this issue for me. " What do you mean? Like you changed it to minutes instead of hours in the .ini file of this mod? I also have the 'longer days' mod.
I installed this mod and it permanently froze the weather in my game to where its raining forever, even after uninstalling it. Even better its on my only save file where I got legend of the east and 100%. Screw this mod. If you're gonna make a mod at the very least make sure it works as intended, and not destroy peoples game. Absolute trash.

EDIT; Nevermind, found it.
what do i need to change in the ini file??
Log file says rain is locked in for 260 minutes, but the rain stops 4 minutes later.
Edit: seems the "longer days" mod was the cause, using "timescale" fixed this issue for me. Thanks for your mod!
