R1 + SQUARE Make sure that you put it in the scripts folder if you dont have that then make a folder called "scripts" exactly that cant be "Scripts" or "SCRIPTS" all lowercase
Found the issue. If your sitting on or standing near your horse (10-15 feet) the trainer wont open with a controller Standing away from the horse trainer works fine. Hopefully it can be fixed in a future update
