I understand it'd be very nice if I could we could play as this version, however, I have no idea how I could set John's player textures to the textures that I want, if someone could teach me how to set his "player_three" head textures to a texture of my choice, that'd be very nice
I've downloaded over 500 mods, and I CANNOT figure out where you want me to put these files, there are NO!!!! insructions, not even a read me, and these are file types that I've never even seen before. explain
Install QoL - Artie and Johnny and replace the files I've provided with mine. And also to access the files for the player version of John you have to use a trainer
At this moment I'm still at this, all the description to QoL on the mod page says, "put in lml folder." And I can't install that either because it is to incredibly vague, I haven't tried every combination of what to put in the lml folder, but I've done enough to know it isn't the main folder I'm supposed to put in lml. I'm using rampage trainer, is, "The files for the player version of john." somewhere in rampage files. Or is it in the game file in which rockstar hides from me, do I have to have a third party to access the game files. Am I accessing johns new face textures via in game trainer. why is everything so convoluted.
Or is this all very easy to fix and I just have an outdated version of lml where I had to add a stream folder manually like 2 years ago. Mods like Artie - Gillette Morgan work just fine doing that, but I feel that's where my issue lies
An easy way to change textures for something like the head, is by editing the Albedo part of the file. For example, NPC Gene "Beau" Finley uses John's face without the scars, so if I put that on John, it would look like this:
Holy smokes! Could you please consider doing an Arthur version of this? I know there is already a clean/young Arthur mod out there, but I'd love to see your version. Adore what you've done with the textures. <3
The easiest way I was able to use this as a player model is by renaming the file to "player_three.ymt". I then dragged it into the "stream" folder inside "LML". Hope this helps someone out.
Hooray, now you can play as if you're on a blackwater ferry! Thank you, can I use this mod to take photos for a video? (I know it's a strange question, but it's better to find out just in case)

Keep in mind not all textures are compatible with this method. I recommend using Unhashed Necessities to make the ymt files easier to read.
