LIMITATIONS:
Mission Bugs: This mod fundamentally changes the game's combat mechanics, which can break certain missions. If you're looking for a smooth playthrough, do not download this mod (and maybe never). Some missions will soft-lock without the hitscan system.
Velocity Limit: There is a hardcoded 500 m/s (1640 ft/s) velocity cap for projectiles. This mainly affects rifles, so to compensate, their bullets have been made heavier to maintain the same damage output.
Invisible Walls on Wagons: Some wagons have invisible barriers at a certain distance, likely to prevent physics glitches. Depending on shot placement, bullets may hit these barriers unexpectedly. Tip: Shoot the horses first.
For online content you will need OCU or LITE. This mod will not work with version.dll.
Each vanilla cartridge now has its own realistic speed and damage, closely matching the stats from my other mod 1899 Firearms. For now these stats are not editable and only apply to vanilla default weapons.
Bullets are physically fired from the gun barrel in the direction the weapon is pointing. This means that any sway or recoil animation at the moment of firing will affect the bullet's trajectory—so keep that in mind when aiming.
Projectiles changes also apply to all NPCs, not just the player. As a result, this "fixes" ped accuracy, meaning you no longer need an accuracy mod (and existing ones will no longer work) since the vanilla accuracy system only affects hitscan weapons, not projectiles.
Maxim and Gatling guns are functional but still a work in progress (WIP).
I’ve introduced an optional manual reload system into the mod (snuck that one in), which allows players to control when they reload their weapons. The gun will reload as long as you hold down the reload button. Since you’ll be spamming this button, I’ve disabled "R" button-related functions from the game, such as picking up bodies, so you’ll have to holster your weapon before those actions become available.
Another optional feature is a recoil system simulating a "realistic" kickback when firing. The more powerful the cartridge and lighter the gun, the greater the recoil, forcing the player to account for the weapon's behavior during rapid fire. You can control the recoil by holding down the sprint button, but this will consume stamina (in proportion to the cartridge power).
And even more features that can be tweaked in the ini file:
Shotgun Spread: Controls the spread of shotgun pellets.
Player Reactions: Players will stagger or fall based on the damage they receive, adding immersion.
Weight System: Heavier weapons slow the player and NPCs down, adding a tactical element. (subtle effect)
Damaged Health System: Adds a new visual effect to indicate player health damage.
Kill Cam: Chance to see an NPC’s last moments after they're killed.
Disable Screen Effects: Removes vanilla screen effects and slow-motion for inventory menus.
Muzzle FX: Adds new muzzle smoke effects, but can be very performance-heavy.
Trail Model: Controls the type of bullet trails (disabled, tracer, elongated, or vanilla).
Bullet Model: Adds bullet models, but can affect performance.

It is a false positive; It is a Python installer that uses Nuitka to pack it into an exe.
Software that is packed tend to get falsely flagged as malware, as malware tends to have their code packed and obfuscated.

I did scan the exe and it's contents with ESET and it came back clean.
You would need to make an exclusion in your antivirus to allow it to download, or wait for a manual installation option.
Man, I love your mods. I use a lot of them and I can't live without them in my gameplay. And with 1899 Balistic it's no different. It's one of the mods I really want to have in my game.
But it would be perfect without many of the features it has. Please make a Light version that can be activated or deactivated with only these features:

This mod must conflict with all the mods I have, I installed it and uninstalled PDO. The NPC takes 3 shots to the head to die, Arthur became practically invincible, in a shootout in Saint Denis I needed to take about 150 shots or more to die, at some moments Arthur misses the shot 2 or 3 meters away from the target. Not to mention that when I exchanged fire with a gang that was on the other side of the river the mod simply stopped working, maybe because of the intense shooting, my bullets didn't hit anything, it was as if I shot and no bullet came out of my gun, it didn't hit the NPCs, it didn't hit the river, it didn't hit the ravine, or the horses, it only worked when they were very close.
I loved the idea, the mod could have only the visual and physical modifications of the projectile, without touching damage, NPC reactions and health and things like that. It would be compatible with PDO and other mods! including I suspect that it don't be compatible with the Euphoria mod for now. Please, if possible, make a version with only visual and projectile physics modifications.
hey, my game crashed and somehow uninstalled itself
i do not have version.dll, and no other mods so it cant be a compatibilty issue. i was really hyped for this mod, but now i cant even play the vanilla game until it finishes downloading again. my internet is super slow too so that doesnt help
download the lite online content unlocker there is should be a lml file to put in lml folder for the navy sound. now i'm using the mod red dead offline so think about that

And PEDs seemly take more to kill than what I remember with your other firearms mods. They'll take a shot or two to get face and brush it right off.
Im having problem with this when my magazine is empty all my ammo goes to red and i can't reload
You have to hold down to reload or turn off the manual reload in the ini file.
