Hi. Unfortunately, not. It would be very cool if we could have a horse pack following our steps or just more stable slots but no one has been able to create something like this so far.
Cool mod. Just an FYI: the Kentucky Saddler is actually the same horse. "Kentucky Saddler" was originally the name the breed was called, but by 1899 the name "American Saddlebred" had already been in wide use for some time and became the official title of the breed after the American Saddlebred Horse Association was founded in Louisville, Kentucky in 1891. The in-game model however isn't completely accurate (and should have been called "Saddlebred" instead to be historically correct), so it's nice to see some mods that attempt to be more authentic. But I just wanted to point out the fact that, technically, the Saddlebred is already in the game, just under a different name.
Hello: Thank you for the info. I read about this some time ago, and noticed there're maybe 2 actual horse breeds that have pretty similar names regarding to the Kentucky Saddler: Mountain Pleasure and Mountain Saddle Horses. I think Rockstar was confused as I was and tagged his horse as "Kentucky Saddler" when nowadays it's called "Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse". In my opinión, that's what would explain why the Kentucky Saddler ingame doesn't look like an American Saddlebred. Because Rockstar tried to feature the Mountain Pleasure or the Kentucky Mountain Saddle. Actually I've found some images in Google and some Mountain Kentucky Saddlers show the silver bay color we see in RDR2, so I guess that's the Kentucky Saddler. Anyways, you can be right and your explanation be also correct. There're so many horse breeds and lots of them are so similar esch other that confusión is the rule! :)
Yeah I definitely think you're right about Rockstar being confused. The Kentucky Saddler was definitely the original name of the American Saddlebred in the early to mid 1800s, and countless sources prove this to be true. An excerpt from the wiki article about the American Saddlebred confirms this as well:
Rockstar likely just mistook the name for the Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse because the two sound so similar. The in-game model even resembles the Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse very closely, but is widely inaccurate from a Saddlebred.
Totally agree with you. The Kentucky Saddler model ingame is almost 100% the Mountain Kentucky we know today, and even if it's more or less accurate, It was the breed I felt in love at first. I like specially his slightly curved muzzle and his head X3 So sad It belongs to the low-stats tier! Thank you for the nice discussion.
