The main save in this file has John with only $100 (and the Reutlinger watch which can be sold to a fence). Some players will no doubt enjoy the minimum completion but also want the $20,000 from Micah/Dutch's stash. If that's how you wish to play then I would either recommend my other save bundle (link in description) with its 77.9% completion or simply start at the beginning of epilogue 2 in this current bundle which is just a short hop skip and jump from the end of the game, the riches, and a very low completion rate. But for those who are undecided, allow me to say that starting with very little money is great fun because it HEIGHTENS THE EMOTIONS. Let me explain with a short anecdote from my testing last night....
There I was with just a few bucks in my pocket. I had gone up to Valentine to purchase a proper hunting rifle so I could start making money on the open range. To even fund the rifle I had to do a bounty. Now had the rifle and maybe just 10 bucks or so in my pocket. I had stopped off at the saloon in Blackwater and the poker table was too tempting to resist. Just a couple hands in and I drew a king and something else. Another king came up on the turn. By this time there was only one other player in the hand. Everything else in the community cards was garbage. I knew I had him beat and went all in. He was holding a pair of 4's. There was only one thing that could beat me. Along comes the river card and take a guess what it was? Yep, a damned 4.
I got up out of my (in game) chair and was furious. I wanted to punch through the glass windows of the saloon but you can't do that. On my way back to my horse I bumped into everyone I could just HOPING they would start a fight with me. By the time I was halfway back to Beecher's I had cooled down. What fun!
Now ask yourself, if I had had $20,000 in my pocket and that same thing happened, would I have been as angry? Not a chance.
If I had $20,000 in my pocket and bagged a good buck and got paid whatever for it ($7 or something?) would I be excited?
If I had $20,000 in my pocket and collected a bounty for $75, would it even matter to me?
Being poor in the RDR2 post game is great fun and it gives you a real reason to want to earn. I would highly recommend it!
I absolutely adore the idea of this save file and totally want to use it on my game. Sadly it doesn´t seem to work even though I am putting the files in the right place, where it´s supposed to be. I even tried to put the save file into other places, thinking it might work yet i do not find any solution.
Copy the save info from this mod. Delete the save info from your files NOT THE FILE ITSELF, GO INTO IT, delete only the save files so the SRDRxxxxx. Add the save files from this mod. Should be good to go.
Now we need a ranching mini game mod. Where you, heard animals, buy and sell them. Take your wagon to get grain for you livestock. Basically an expanded version of the basic chores you can do at Beechers Hope
Is there a reason why it's possible to store up to 99 items per type in your satchel? It's been a while since I played and I can't remember if that is part of the game or specific to this mod.
Would it be possible to put the limitations back somehow? Cheers.
Hello, I'm sure I'm just missing something. But every time I try to install this Steam says something about it not matching up with the Cloud. How can I bypass this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
This save file has provided a lot of fun for me over the past few days. I have completely played through Story Mode several times; the first time, I refused to even read hints on the forums because I wanted everything to be a surprise. As a consequence, I missed quite a bit of the content because I didn't know it was there. I didn't complete the challenges, hunt all of the legendary animals, catch the legendary fish, find dinosaur bones, collect cards, find rock carvings, find dreamcatchers, etc. because I was focused on the main story line. On subsequent play-throughs, I read hints on the forums and found a lot of content I'd missed the first time around. It wasn't until the third or fourth play-through that I managed 100% completion (some of those challenges are downright frustrating). But I found myself a bit disappointed that, after working hard to achieve everything possible in the game, there I was as John in Beecher's Hope, with maxed-out stats, every talisman, trinket, and perk, every customized weapon, every type of custom ammo, several great horses, etc., and there was almost nothing left to do in the game except play cards in the saloons and re-visit gang hideouts after the bad guys had respawned. With your save file, I used cheats to quickly reach the status I had enjoyed at the end of my own play-throughs, but now I have the chance to actually use what I had previously earned. I can now complete stranger missions, overcome random ambushes, and hunt down bounties as a maxed-out John. I enjoy seeing how some of the stranger missions differ when I do them as John, something I'd never experienced. Thanks for this save file!
