You don't need this mod for controller because there is already built in quick draws for it. But you can use the dead eye mode by pressing down on right stick

when i was trying to fix it, i would select my main holster, then unholster it and quickdraw. it would still take the offhand even though i selected the main one
If you have the same gun in both holsters, the mod will choose the off-hand holster. But if you put a different gun in one of your holsters, it will choose the gun you last used. At least that's how it was for me.
I am too running into the issue the OP says, sometimes it only draws from the offhand no matter how many times u select the main holster, even if u switch the guns it still draws from the offhand, only thing i haven't tried is to use 2 different guns.

Yes, two identical guns is the issue, I remember running into issues finding the gun equipped in a specific holster if two guns are the same. So use two different guns. I'll see if i can fix in the next update
