    - Increasing Ai_texture max memory above 5000 or *7500 if you have enough v-ram* will not improve anything at all, it will just lead to memory leaks and un-stable gameplay for no additional improvement, only adjust the middle section that contains ai max texture mem as the other ones did nothing in my testing:

    + _0 takes effect when using low textures quality.
    + _1 takes effects when using medium textures.
    + _2 takes effects when using high.
    + _3 when using ultra.


    or at least that is what I think.. and that is why I only adjusted _3 from 2500 to 5000, to make it only for ultra and as stable as possible for most gpus, that means setting your in-game texture quality to ultra, and this 2500 increase allows for more usage of your v-ram to reduce pop-in as much as possible.

    - Do not increase ped limit at all or the things attached to it like memory, it WILL NOT help at all with the spawn issue, it will just lead to more stutters, high cpu usage, in-stability and crashes for no improvement except seeing more wagons and people, it is not worth it, and I do not recommend it at all even if you have a 4090.. if you have performance to spare, increase graphics or use LOD mod or increase resolution scale.

    - For the kind and amazing modders with texture mods: try as much as possible to save your textures in the same game compression format: BC1 SRGB, BC1, BC3 SRGB, BC3.. doing so won't just reduce enormously your mod size, but it will make it much much lighter on the engine and loaded in faster times in-game.

    not only that, using these compression formats will make any 2k/4k textures WORK WITH DX12, the reason DX12 crashes is the use of in-correct compression format such as BC7, stick to the formats above as the game does and any 2k/4k textures will load normally into DX12 without any crashes at all and with no loss in quality.

      Sure, I spent a lot of time trying to isolate what mod could cause that bug, but it seems to be permanent at this point. Spawn pool seems to be a mess and what I've found online confirms it...

      I do not see you having any heavy mods at all, but let us try something, first you have some conflicts, as the spawns fix has a game config, and it also shares a few files with train config.

      Try moving all of the modding files outside of the game folder, and verify files, then open the game and check the spawns and see, if everything thing is good, then save and quit.

      Now start adding mods, but do not add any spawns fix nor online content unlocker, add the rest and see what is going to happen.

      Also, at what point are you in story?

      I already did that, that's why I don't have a lot of mods anymore, but it seems that trains spawning is very random, finally crossed one near St Denis, but I still think they're bugged because i don't remember them being this rare...

      I completed the story a while before adding any mod.
      Is your mod compatible with Skyyykes fixes by the way ?

      If i keep seeing trains, i'll let you know but I didn't do anything special for them to reappear like that...

      No we both share a gameconfig, also, his mod shares 1 or 2 files with train config mod.

      Delete train config and spawn fix, and let us try, go outside of horseshoe overlook stay around this area around 5 am, till 6 am, is there a train coming to valentine?

      Also do trollies have passengers?

      Yes trollies have passengers, tramways as well, no train for Valentine tho, but one spawned at Emerald Station for some reason, and it had passengers. Sometimes, St Denis has that idle train cargo one as well, so it doesn't look like an engine "overload" issue, idk tho...

      That means you are fine my friend, the train from valentines goes to emrald ranch, but in game, train schedules change by a few hours every now and then, so you are good to go, especially with having passengers un trollies as they are the biggest challenge as I see from people comments

      Maybe mods that modify timescale f*#@ up their spawns then?

      They may affect the schedule slightly but nothing big I believe, but yeah, be easy on yourself my friend it is all good, sometimes just a watched pot never really boils.

      Not a significant one no, with these mods that add tons of new textures and ytds to the game, it will be extremely hard to get spwans to work normally, it has been a problem for a long time right now with lots of mods like whyem and other mods like the ones I mentioned and you are using.

      It is a bummer, but unfortunately I do not believe any solution other than not using these mods has been found yet.

    Hi, this is not a thing related to this mod I think, But When I try to lauch this game this morning, It says "Authenfication Pending". I cannot play the game. It's so irritating. I cannot with this rockstar, Why should I need another laucher when I have a laucher already (Epic Games). Please I need help. Other games from Epic games lauching without any problem.

      I am very sorry for the late reply, I am not exactly sure how to fix, but try to log out rockstar launcher and log in again, and the same for epic games, it is a very annoying problem and you are right, we should not be facing anything like that or have to deal with anything like that.

      That cannot be fixed, I tried everything, deleting the game, reinstall, verify, remove mods. Nothing worked, I been trying for 5 days, Got so annoyed that I just downloaded the game from.......You know where. Imagine spending money on a game and you cannot play it so you have to use the pirates method. I spend 570h worth of time into that game and everything is gone. But the new start is good too, A Lion is Always a Lion.

      Yes, that will help alot with the popin, as it makes the game utilize more vram for the textures.. I hope you never experience any problems.

    Hello, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I wanna know, how can I detect, what compressionformat the modders used especially for textures, because you mentioned the problem with BC7 etc.?

    I may wanna give you one constructive critics, I dont know what it is with max payne and you, but the names you give your folders and decriptions have no information value when I try to troubleshoot my lists. Just wanna say, it costs me a lot of time to investigated what "squad abdelrahman" stands for as description for a mod. By the way it's a funfactor that makes my life harder... it is really a payne.

      I appreciate the kind words.

      for the textures compression, you can check using open vi or codex, some mods like terrain  textures overhaul use bc7, yet spawns are good with it for most people, but using the same formats as the game would have been much better, and can bring the mods size below half its own size now.. but for some other mods that still use bc7 or even worse using a lossless texture compression, which whyem does, can and will lead to problems.

      I remember a while back with the terrain textures, I converted them, to downsize the mod to only 3.45 gb insted of +7 gb, and I played with it a whole playthrough on dx12, but It got deleted from my pc by mistake, I hope one day someone can do it for all mods.

      as for the name of the folders.. yes you are correct and I am really sorry, when I first published the mod I was still new and did not know how to name it, so I named it the same as max payne, the first game I played when I was 4-5 years old and my whole life friend.

      you are right and I should change it, if I updated this mod anytime in the future I will. I am very sorry for that.. till then you can change the name of  the folder and also the mod by opening install file and change the name.

    Hello good sir,

    I have no issues with spawns as I use very few texture mods, but I do have the infamous ram dump stutter, especially in towns. I am looking for a stutter fix mod that makes zero changes outside of that middle aimaxmemory3 setting, as I've found it to be helpful in previous runs. Does this mod make any edits besides that setting? Basically am just looking for a vanilla gameconfig.xml except for that one setting I can tweak as needed.

      For my mod, I edited the aimaxmemory3 yes, beside that, I have done a few other edits that increase the pools available for textures stores and map stores, to hopefully allow the game to endure more.. I have completed a whole playthrough with it, and no crashes or problems at all.

      I only made a very few changes to make it as simple as possible.

      If you want only the aimaxmemory3 edit and nothing else, I recommend the stutter fix mod here on nexus.

    i know that apparently texture mods mess up event spawns and train spawns but does that mean weather mods for example whyem visuals or seasons also mess with the spawns ? cause i kinda want to play with seasons but idk if it will mess up with the spawns sorry if this doesn't belong here

      No not all, also, not every texture mod causes spawns issues, for example terrain textures overhaul does not cause that in a lot of testing from other people, I wished the modder used the texture formats I mentioned in the fixed comment but it is good and doesn't cause issues.

      And do not worry, weather files or asi mods or these stuff are good to go with no problems.. there are a lot of extremely amazing mods here that are like fixes and player animations, and they do not cause any problems too.

      no need for that, before placing my mod in the lml folder, search the folder for gameconfig, if nothing was found, just use my mod and all will be ok, and you can also enable the overwrite box in lml manager if you want.

    Hi i'm using the other famous spawn fix mod, you know what mod it is, I have a quetion. does this spawn issue or spawn fixes affect the random event in this game ? Like will these isssue or fix mods prevent rare events from happening ? that mod actualy working but should i use this or that. I been using your mod before that mod .

      I appreciate the comment, I saw this mod but did not try it to be honest, I downloaded it now to check. so let me tell you something, there are a lot of edits in his gameconfig -at least some of the versions- that will cause memory leaks, unstability, higher cpu usage and for no further improvement than making the numbers lower, and you can check my pinned comment for that. also a lot of other edits that, seem a lot, but have no effect in game, also claiming that removing the online portion of the config from the gameconfig will make more resources for the game is not right, the game only use the online numbers for online and that is it.

      as for the trollies forced spawn, for me, I think, it may sound good raising the probability of all of them and having them like mission critical, but, won't that affect other things? won't that affect other spawns or stuff in the game? maybe.. I am not sure.

      I do not know him, I hope he is well and all of the good things, but I think the solution for this problem will not be solved by things that may make it worse I guess?

      anyway, I think the best way is to continue your playthrough, do not judge till chapter 6 and the end, did it work? passengers in trollies still? no weird despawn or culling the happens? you encountered all of the events that you usually do through the chapters? pinkertons blocks and ambush -important?

      all of that can be used to check, it is a pain I know.

      but if you want, you can share your specs and your mod list, maybe we can get to something that makes your game run perfectly with no to little fixes like that? we can try...

      I did get rare events, more spawn , every trollies had passengers in your mod, the only problem that I had with your mod is it was old, he's mod was new that's why I switched to that. but after switching to his mod, idk, I feels like my spawns is normal as yours , But the random event stop working, I mean it's still happens but not as frequent as yours and they all just the normal events. I'm gonna try your mods since its updated now, I also love that guy, he's doing great job just like you . Hope one day this modding curse will be gone from red dead 2

      I understand, but kindly note, my old game config still works as the game itself did not change it in an update or anything, so no matter the time, you can still use it.. the update I made was after I learnt some few stuff and decided to upload a cleaner better version, after I played a whole playthrough with it with no single crash at all.

      I hope all works well.. and I think if modders started optimizing their texture mods and using prober texture compression as I mentioned above, I think it will help a lot to make any mod even whyem to work with no de-spawn, it can be done, but it needs someone that knows how to convert textures and reback them into ytds. using a script to be quicker, as manual work will take days and weeks, and to has the ability to upload to other users to use it.

      Bro does using mods like whyem setup, timescale, roleplayers dream, whyem bloodbath and particles cause any problems to the spawn or random event in this game ?

      These are very light mods I do not believe so no.. for time scale, I am not sure if changing the game time will affect events or not, but I think sometimes it can affect.. I remember using 1 to 1 version of it a while back, I noticed the conversations in camp weren't triggered as before, in chapter 1, you will see dutch go out after an argument with hosea, after that he should go inside and you hear a very short conversation with molly, when using the time scale, no matter what, dutch never goes inside at all.

      Beginning of ch.2, when you are still in camp after eastward bound, lenny should have a plate with hosea, speak about robbing a fool, with time scale, lenny keeps standing near the edge and does not move at all no matter what.

      So time scale does affect a few things like conversations, but I did not test for random events because I removed it.

      Oh, I been using the timescale mod for this whole playthrough but i had all that convo normally, I don't remember him talking to molly but he did get inside, and the convo with hosea did happend

      Then maybe it was only on my side, but for know I think you are ok in terms of events and everything. And depending on where you are know in story, you should try to check for other events and see, if all goes well, then you are good
