    I noticed that the increased LOD makes horses in the wild glitch as you approach them from afar. A black flickering bar appears over them at one point. Could you look into that ? I deleted other mods to make sure it is the changed LOD. Otherwise everything is perfect.

      I just figured it out. When using LOD 1.75-2.0 I had to drop the pedlod minimum and maximum values to 0.5 and all is good. Increasing it is counter productive.

    Q: How to use this with any other mod using systemsettings.ymt?
    A: open systemsettings of the mod you want to merge this mod with and search for "lodscale", now change the minimum and maximum to accurately reflect the version of this mod you want to use for example; if you want lodscale 1.75-2.0 your lodscale in systemsettings needs to look like this:
               <id>lodScale</id>
              <displayStyle>kSettingDisplay_Slider</displayStyle>
              <displayName>AGFX_LODSCALE</displayName>
              <description>AGFX_LODSCALE_DESC</description>
              <minimum value="1.75000000"/>

    If you're thinking about using this mod and don't have a whole lot of frames to spare, the minimum version looks amazing and is truly all that's needed.  It gives a great graphics setup that extra little bump to push visuals to be just stunning and gorgeous.

    Thank you very much. I gave the lodscale 1.75-2.0 version a try. It seems to have fixed my issue. With threes lod popping when riding. I use a rtx 4060.

    LOD 1.75-2.0 creates a problem that parts of Saint Denis disappear and reappear as you get closer. This can be solved by adding the following line to the timecycle_mods_1 file:

     <lod_mult_slod1>0.500 0.500</lod_mult_slod1>

      Can't thank you enough bro!Been troubled by this since forever.Wondering if adding this will bring entire slod1 distance range down,like will this make some distant props rendering distance go down to vanilla level pop in?

      I've been testing it for a couple of days now and there is no downside to this mod. By the way pedlod needs to be decreased in the systemsettings.ymt file to 0.5 too, because horses glitch at a given distance. I'm happy to help.

      Greatly appreciated!I can't figure out the reason why saint denis region behave like this when seemingly all the other places never have this issue.Even traveling into specific spot in vanilla with the original lodscale 1.0,using photomode max zoom in  can notice the whole area just disappears.But with extended lod as long as you teleport to saint denis for once this issue goes away,almost feel like the lod models are not loaded to their map streaming systems by default unless being stored in active rams.And same as vanilla some buildings in saint denis will go straight to low lod models when in specific streets as well,just not that noticeable unless switch to photomode,as well as specific terrains.Gotta say the lod problems are just so messy

      Thank you guys for the effort of improving this issue. Within the timecycle_mods_1 file I see different spots with a  <lod_mult_slod1> entry. Do I have to change all of these to " <lod_mult_slod1>0.500 0.500</lod_mult_slod1>"?

      No, you don't. You just need to insert that line to the end of the first entry which is called "Base_modifier".

      Thank you very much! Last question: whats with decreasing pedlod in the gameconfig that you mentioned earlier. I cant find any entry in the gameconfig.xml. Did you perchance mean the systemsettings.ymt i.e. like you mentioned in the pinned comment?

      Thank you for pointing it out I've edited my post. Indeed it is in systemsettings.ymt and you need to set pedlod min. and max. values to 0.5 actually not to get the horse mane glitch at LOD 1.75-2.0 

      The pinned 0.8 was not enough after extensive testing so go for 0.5

      Do I have to use this For 1.5 version too ? because I have the Same pop in problem with this mod.

      If you go for lod 1.5-1.75 than <lod_mult_slod1>0.500 0.500</lod_mult_slod1>" won't be the right value for you. Since the higher you go in lod the lower you need to go with that value not to have the pop-in, I would raise the 0.500 to something like 0.750 and than fine tune it from there maybe going in steps of 50.

      I think you can go higher if you use 1.25-1.50 but you have to test it. Since 1.5 is halfway  between 1.0 and 2.0 I think you should be good with pedlod set to 0.75.

      Should I just change the last one?

      I'm confused. There's multiple <lod_mult_slod1></lod_mult_slod1> lines with various values. You say put the line  <lod_mult_slod1>0.500 0.500</lod_mult_slod1> under base modifiers but that section has no other  <lod_mult_slod1></lod_mult_slod1> values. So do we just add it there, replacing nothing, and ignore all the other entries with  <lod_mult_slod1></lod_mult_slod1>?

      Anyone mind sharing where to find the timecycle_mods_1 file? New to modding RDR2 and have no idea

      edit: since editing the timecycle_mods_1 file was mentioned originally on 23/04 and the latest update at the moment is 12/06 I'm guessing it's a non-issue as the timecycle_mods_1 file has been removed. As for Saint Denis appearing and disappearing, it doesn't seem to be an issue.

    Also just found out i need to tweak the system.xml LOD value after installing. this isn't a multiplier

    Can anyone get the LOD (Level of Detail) mod to work anymore? No matter what file I use (Extreme, High, Ultra, etc.) it makes no difference. If that mod had a comment section I would ask there, but it doesn't. And seeing this mod is similar to that one, I was hoping to get some feedback here.

    There is a big problem with the open world breaking down (animals don’t spawn, transport passengers disappear, random events don’t generate, etc.) when installing mods on textures.(https://www.rdr2mods.com/forums/topic/2334- huge-problem-with-modding-rdr2-that-no-one-is-talking-about/)
    It depends somehow on number of loaded textures.

    When installing this mod, can there be similar problems? Indeed, due to improved detail, number of textures also increases.

      I'm concerned about this as well but very few people are reporting specific findings. Try installing these mods, and if you find that the NPCs and Ambience Spawns cease then uninstall the mod and report it to the mod creator on a forum like this.

      I'm currently testing a bunch of mods because I foolishly installed like 6 in one go and now I'm booting and roaming until I find stagecoaches with passengers and random spawned trains before quitting out and testing the next mod. It's work but it's better than not knowing how to play the game properly.

      You need to set gameconfig parameters to very high to avoid such issues,and avoid using custom clothing&texture items related to peds/players&accessories/vehicles,anything doesn't alter these things are fine on my end

      radeonhdvvvv, Improvements In Blood mod has .ytd files and they affect the blood textures, do you think this mod can break the game?

      Not sure,never use blood textures before.But I don't think it can result to these issues unless the texture file sizes are unreasonablely huge or you spam blood effects everywhere,which I doubt if it's achieveable when the vanilla game even have problems relate to corpse spawn config and wagons you stolen won't stay for a few yards in city areas.Just make sure to set corresponding gameconfig parameters higher,with a decent hardware you are good to go,as long as avoid mods I mentioned above.(especially those general animal&vehicle textures)From my experience terrain mods are pretty safe without any crashes,others depends but won't cause spawn issues neither.

      Это проблема самого lml, точнее метода stream или streaming.
      Нужно быть внимательными при использовании модов, которые работают таким методом.
      Однажды Я установил модификацию которая заменяет текстуры Джона посредством метода stream, и ничего не подозревая стал играть.
      На второй день обнаружилось, что в игровом мире пропали пеликаны, совсем. Так же абсолютно пропали ped-лодки, и бобры! )))

      Но всё-таки Я использую некоторые моды (для stream), которые ничего не нарушают в работе.
      Просто это надо знать, и быть внимательней.

    Going by what pallcsa said regarding the black flickering bar. I haven't seen any when approaching horses but I've had, not sure if it was part of the screen or the entire screen, flicker black in a millisecond. Only happened once or twice at most, so not related to "approaching" horses.

    He said it was fixed by changing the pedlodbias value right? to 0.8? How do we find out which is a correct value?!

      Максимальное значение для pedlod это 0.44, то есть на 44% больше ванили. Во всех других случаях мы увидим проблемы с шейдерами грив лошадей. Особенно через бинокль!!!
      Я уже год работаю в этом направлении и создаю модификацию графики, пока не готова.

    1) Does this mod render the game's menu level of detail slider inactive regardless of slider position?

    Thank you for this mod, I have a few questions:
    1. Should geometry level of detail and grass level of detail in game settings be set to max, lowest, etc.? Does it matter?

    And can/should we modify any lod/render distance related settings in the system xml in documents folder? Like lodscale, pedlodbias, gradlod
