Didn't expect this mod to come anymore but here it is thankgod! Finally water ain't lava anymore.
Seriously though, I kinda hated that rockstar whent that hardcore on the fact he can't even step a foot too deep in water without dying instantly. It makes sense in RDR1 and its map with waaaaay less water. But RDR2 has so much more water you really take a lot of freedom out the game when swimming becomes impossible...anyways rant over lol...
Thank you! Can't wait to use it ! These QoL mods are always the best.
edit: just tested it worked perfectly, still drains energy core completely but I don't see that as a issue actually.
can any mods work online? im assuming no, but like the randomblood spill mod by https://www.nexusmods.com/reddeadredemption2/users/7120887 id love to work
This mod NEEDS a settings file where one can decide if they want stamina drain or not and how severe that drain should be. I really enjoy being able to swim and think the immediate drowning in the base game was incredibly lame, but I don't think it should be entire free to swim either. It should drain stamina at some rate.
Enjoy. John's inability to swim was the reason I looked into rdr2 mod creation. I couldn't find any mods to make john swim. So, I said "Fine, I'll do it myself" :D
It's a nice easter egg to the first game where swimming wasn't implemented due to technical limitations at the time, but in the end it just makes John worse to play as in RDR2
It's better than vanilla but the behavior is odd for me. Stam core goes completely empty as soon as you hit water, you can still swim but only at the slowest speed so forget getting out of a rapid. The core doesn't regenerate after exiting, so if you swim, eat to full, then swim again, you're back to 0 stam.
This mod works perfect for me. Although I don't need it currently. Since I play with God mode and unlimited stamina. When I used this mod prior. I had no issues. Simple and great. Thank you.

Yes.. ok it's a game, a simulative one.
Otherwise, 10/10 mod

It's funny, but thank GOD this mod exists
i can swim now but my character loose all his endurance down to red.
You won't die.
It's not permanent either.
It will go back to normal once you are out of water.
