At first I didn't think this mod existed! I couldn't find it. You might want to rename it or add a subtitle like like "ultrawide fix" or "no black bars during cutscenes" or something like that.
Anyway, thanks for making it! I can confirm some cutscenes get "stuck", but then you press F11 and boom, it works again. No need to reload the game, or anything. It's really worth it, it works flawlessly 99% of the time and it looks so much better seeing those epic cutscenes using the entire screen. Thank you!
For some reason this changes the resolution on my 3440/1440p Monitor from the regular 2560/1440p to a 2560/1080p I do have the seasons mod installed could that still be the problem?
I downloaded this to fix an issue with a mod called "dynamic seasons" which for some reason on my ultrawide denies me from using 21:9 ratio but this didn't fix the issue, does anyone have any idea?
Google "ultrawide fov mod pcgw rdr2", download the tool from the PCGW. Unzip the archive using the password "pcgw". Launch the game, launch the tool, and press F5. If cutscenes are broken for you, press F11 too. This is worked for me for quite some time. I ended up removing Dynamic Seasons and not using the tool anymore due to a greater hit on FPS as well as a little more frequent FFFFFF crashes (Once every few hours). Though to be fair I do have a lot of mods installed.
for some reason for me the game just stays loading forever after going to story mode for some reason i still get the sidebars, i just wanna play the game on real ultrawide, for some reason in the menu is 21:9 but ingame its not, how to fix this
You have to disable and re-enable the mod with F11 (default key) and cutscene should continue normally. Do this from time to time when you think a cutscene is bugged out.
I've also encountered the bug where the game freezes at a cut scene. It only happens occasionally, but so far I've encountered it in the first Hosea mission where you go into the stable, and in the home raid with Javier, as you leave the camp. It can be overcome by pressing f11 to force the black bars but it's unsettling.
