I used to use this mod back in 2021 when I was playing rdr2 but recently i decided to buy a new laptop and now whenever I try to use this reshade preset I use it with reshade 5.9.2 it makes it look like Im playing rdr2 on an old tv Help
Edit : I disabled technicolor and enabled performance mode which fixed it

are you supposed to have to install the reshade manually? i put the files in the game directory and the reshade did nothing and when i tried to install it manually there was just a bunch of un selected options

    Just a friendly tip.
The game looks almost perfect without any reshade from a professional point of view, I personally take colors a bit down and change the tint a bit colder and a bit of cas.fx sharpening and max 5% more contrast but this is overkill like wtf :D.

    Just by looking the images:
1.black levels are crushed making shadows look like black holes in the close range
2.night sky in real life is not deep blue it is more towards gray-light blue or black depending on the clouds blocking the light.
3.big difference between black and white levels also looks unnatural and hard to watch
4.sky during morning in this game has a lot of bloom when you make things brighter that bloom will block all the details in the sky like cloud formations

A nice little technique when balancing contrast and white-black levels: first take all the color out from the game making it black and white and then adjust the levels that way you never go too bright or dark and only after that start adjusting the colors and clarity, also make sure that you set the in game gamma to what Rockstar originally set it because most people will play with that level anyway so you are already on the same ballpark with majority of the people who might wan't to try this reshade.

I also did overkill presets for myself when I started to play this game but quickly enough realized that this game has a huge dynamic difference between different light conditions this overkill preset may look good on one day time and weather condition while making every other condition look like shit. Maybe try calibrating your tv/monitor and then redo the reshade , nothing wrong in trying out reshades bro, cheers!.
