Converts the "Mauser Pistol" from a semi-automatic pistol to a FULLY-AUTOMATIC death machine!

Have you ever wanted to lay down hate against the law and rival gangs... faster? Introducing the sorta historically accurate Mauser C96 "Broomhandle" (M712 Schnellfeuer)!


This mod is a happy medium between paying tribute to RDR1 and the real life counterpart. See changes below:

-Clip size increased from 10- to 15-rounds.
-Fully-Automatic fire rate of approximately 700-rounds/minute.
---*NO changes to weapon stats: range, accuracy, damage, etc.*--- Also, not a bug but as of now, dual wielding results in normal single shots for each weapon as they take turns. Not sure if it's possible to have simultaneous dual automatic fire.

INSTALLATION: Drag and drop the entire "Full-Auto Mauser" folder into your LML folder.

MOD DETAILS BELOW: (Also, this is my first mod! If you have suggestions/advice let me know. I don't plan on making merges for this mod, as I am leaving instructions on how to do so instead. I do have a much LESS historically accurate fully-automatic Evans Repeater mod in it's Beta stage of development that I may eventually upload.)

This is a pretty simple mod with minimal changes. Instructions on how to customize/merge the "weapons.ymt" are pinned in the posts section.

  • The reason why I chose 15-rounds as the clip capacity is because [1.] that was the capacity in RDR1, and [2.] 10-rounds go FAST at this fire rate. 15 still zips by quick, but it allows the player a bit more freedom in combat. 15 feels fair, fun, and it's not overpowered or immersion breaking. The real life Mauser had several magazine/clip variants.
  • The gun model used in game is of the stripper clip fed, 10-round internal magazine. Hence, R* making the clip capacity 10 rounds.
  • Despite the existence of 20- and 40-round magazines, R* sadly did not include these as Gunsmith upgrades. But, feel free to change it to whatever you want with my mod!

  • Also, if anyone wants to get upset over historical accuracy, talk to R* not me lol. 'Cause as you can see here, RDR1 used the exact same gun model, no extended mag. So the pistol in RDR1 also should have been 10 rounds but they made it 15 for some reason idk. If they don't have a real reason, then I don't need one either.
  • And time period-wise, you can see again they didn't care (also this a mod and you don't have to download it so...).
  • I initially was going to lower the fire rate as it seemed way too rapid compared to what I remembered in RDR1. However, upon some light research I discovered the real life fire rate is 900- to 1000-rounds/minute so yeah. Check out some IRL footage of the Mauser being fired full-auto and you'll see the fire rate is almost exactly the same as my mod.
