Too bad the Jobs Expanded Mod doesn't even allow BUG reports, but oh well, I just came here to say that mod crashes my game randomly without going to get a job, during a job or when I interact with the board.
It's just randomly and I don't see a way to troubleshoot what's going on.
Too bad, that no comments/discussions are possible on the jobs expand site for troubleshoot either. Found this post about, hope I am not at the wrong place.. it's a different mod after all. But maybe it can provide information for some.
I used Jobs Expanded and it issued with Longer Days 3.0.5 as it crashed. Guess that had something to do with the mission timer. The Old Jobs Mod included a line "slowdown = 0" and it worked fine, but jobs expanded does not have this function, obvs.
Downgrading to Longer Days 3.0.4 all seemed fine, no crashes, but then the Jobs Expanded Mod sadly went quite buggy, at least on my end.. But no way to bugreport or read about...
Could be anything, going back to old jobs mod. That's alright in combo with the others, I installed. I would very much like to help, if I can, but I guess, one would need a proper sourcecode / decompilin' - but it doesn't work that way, but if we had the sourcecodes anywhere to get it fixed or redesigned (if a modder decides to go ahead with a normal life ;-)
Please don't get me wrong, there's no pun intended here, the modders have done wonderful work, Shtivi with his tools, wouldn't like to miss !! And they deserve much more than gratitude and should get a piece of the R*s golden cake in my opinion, for I guess a lot of people wouldn't play RDR2 still, if it weren't for modding it and the vast amount of time and tears from the modders, I can only imagine, but always respect.
Only seein' some of those incredible wonderful mods goin more and more buggy in RDR2 hurts a lot :-/ Would it be possible, to open the discussions at Jobs Expanded again? anyway, sorry to disturb the masked bounty, best regards !!
Nexus should not allow mods to disable comments. As a community effort it's often up to the rest of us to do bugfixing, compatibility testing, and reporting when a mod is broken - there's nothing gained by allowing this. Also yes, Jobs crashed my game

anyone know what this might be/what might be causing this? My game files are located in [C:\FUckingSTEAMhere\steamapps\common\Red Dead Redemption 2] so thats its not in a protected folder that limits permissions to folders, causing issues like 'cant acess'.
i removed it for now because im not sure if it constantly checking might be causing issues, some mod i installed recently is causing #ffffff crashes frequently and im not sure which one. Currently troubleshooting-. - Update: Tried mod on fresh install with nothing else but scripthook/lml installed = works (it removes witnesses when masked, right?), no fff crashes so its probably not this mod.
Finally! Together with No Honor Lost With Mask mod, wearing masks finally have a purpose. Why they didn't include this in the Vanilla game doesn't make sense. Now I can rob trains, Banks (Bank Robbery mod) and obliterate the entire Saint Denise population without worrying about Honor and Bounties, cheers! :)
They didn't include this in the original because it would affect the end of the game. If the players were able to mask themselves during crimes and suffer no honour loss, then the ending would not have much sense in being split anymore (good / bad). IMHO, whether you cover your face or not, you should still be able to incur honour loss since it is tied to Arthur (& the player's) personality. But I agree that this mod was highly needed. These policemen be acting like Superman with their XRay abilities.
Yeah the mask not giving you fame buffs or debuffs in rdr1 made sense because it was just that - fame. In RDR2, it's more an internal morality indicator of how Arthur considers himself, as I see it.
So, it works... sometimes? For example, Saint Denis. I put on my mask and shoot a cop. I get $5 reward and then nothing, I can kill all the cops on the city and the reward is still $5. I use Alexanders scripthook + lml + ocu (no version.dll)
EDIT: I tested it without any other mods, only rampage trainer
This mod does work, but not all the time, and not with missions. You could perhaps consider like, sometimes nobody recognized you, and sometimes it was obviously you and your little mask didn't hide it. Or if its like the game intended and honor is more of an internal thing, perhaps sometimes you felt bad about something, but mostly you thought it was justifiable.
It's because most people in here aren't tech savvy and RDR2 likes to moan when a lot of mods are installed. It's easy to get a crash or break something in your game and people usually just point their fingers at the latest mod they installed. I don't blame them though, it's hard to know what the issue is when you don't have any information to investigate, so opening a bug report in the latest mod you installed is understandable.
Thats how it works in vanilla actually. However the moment lawmen see you comitting a crime you are no longer anonymous. That is the issue, as it makes no sense.
Great mod, but I wish there was a limit to which Arthur had anonymity, like it working for the first $100 or $500 bounty in the same encounter. Surely a few petty mugging wouldn't get the same amount of notoriety as gunning down an entire town.
There's other things in the game like haircut or clothing that supposedly helps with anonymity but I just hate the x-ray visions that lawmen have.
For all of you who are robbing the back room in the Valentine doctor's shop - it is scripted for you to get a bounty, with this mod you will get maybe 12 dollars bounty if you kill two of those lawmen, otherwise it would be 70 or something , but in all other non scripted instances the mod works.
