    Vulkan is a stutter fest for me.. is there any way to fix that or get this to work on DX12?

      Vulkan is best for this at first place... and  for stutters  if you  read cearfuly here what I write and other links you understand it  well all what happening to you...dx12 have very Conservative programmers and they closed few doors limmitations ...in vulkan if there write 100words maybe we wanna can't use big mods at all

    Hi, perfect mod, I’ve been using it for a long time, but this is not the correct way to load it. Maybe you wanted to check out this installation file - and if you want, use it <streaming file>. It’s not the right technology, especially for the entire terrain… I’ve and no body discussed this topic here: Upscaled Animal AIO at Red Dead Redemption 2 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) and Upscaled All-In-One MegaPack at Red Dead Redemption 2 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com). The files need to be replaced like this, and this should be WIDELY SPRED. Because this is the solution to the problem for the entire internet community...im first talking about this ... Too many streaming files lead to no spawns, because of loading method witch using different approach to load files(currently, I have about 50GB of properly loaded mods), and everything feels even better :) - here’s the(down goggle drive) installation. I’ve written quite a bit…’” +hi textures must load in +hi -The system allocates more resources for + high textures and use file replacement method-the code is with more elements but you can redact it (at first i write this for this mod)
    File Replacement:

    • Process: In file replacement, the entire file is loaded into memory at once. This means that all of the data in the file is readily available, but it can also use more memory.
    • Advantages:

      • Fast access: Allows for fast and random access to the entire file.
    File Streaming:

    • Process: In file streaming, the file is loaded into memory in chunks rather than the entire file at once. This means that only the parts of the file that are needed at a given time are loaded into memory
    • This can be taxing for SSDs, as they are not as efficient at handling small files

      • Frequent Random Access: If rapplication constantly jumps around to different small files on the SSD, then it can be less efficient.
      • Many Temporary Files: If streaming creates a large number of temporary small files that are constantly written and deleted, it can impact SSD lifespan over time.

    Just to mention now that I'm in the second camp of Red Dead 2 I even see trains passing by up the line, birds, fighting animals.,all all all-from camp to valentine i see at minimum 15 25 animals on ground-when come to there there is train with people

    after around 50gig mod properly load no frame drop all spawn ,perfect graphics- weather mod is mine, which we are making with the help of experienced meteorologist.... 1month to write code to all mods i have- a have absolutly all biggest mods for everything from here--

      Is the install.xml swap something us normal users can do? It didn't change nothing to me performance-wise.

      You most likely loaded vanilla textures at this point. Just to clarify, high-resolution textures are for "High and above" settings in the game must load in hi textures- low textures game have smaller resources for there. (You can only use rename and delete process) But if you have "100 "other (not good cofigure)streaming mods?????, if you dont wont not use jail cell mod – it`s filestreaming method
      yes you can-download these mods (Terrain Textures Overhaul at Red Dead Redemption 2 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com , Upscaled Terrain at Red Dead Redemption 2 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) , Upscaled Registers at Red Dead Redemption 2 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) ,   Upscaled Jails at Red Dead Redemption 2 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) , UpscaledProps Windows at Red Dead Redemption 2 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)) add the missing files from the 2k mod to the terrain textures in the first mod...!!! Delete everything that is 1kb and everything in every directory except heartlands1.ytd and heartlandmain.ytd(and Jailcell UpscaledRegisters p_window don`t rename anything)  should be renamed to +hi.ytd..in city textures add Jailcell UpscaledRegisters p_window(I don't know what the original mod was called but the install file leads to (CityTextures,MainTextures,TerrainTextures) as these directories should be in their files, there should be no path from several directories your directories should also be named as I have written)....

      Overall, I've tested it (not just this mod, but a whole big complex I had on 4 machines, and it had excellent results). don’t you think that even before i change this was not running at 48-55 fps for me and bird trains not missing for me?(at that time a not open instal.hml to se what hapend) I just did what I explained - you can see the graphics and fps spawns trains bird people fighting animals and A lot of the everywhere>>>> some other info this Upscaled Animal AIO at Red Dead Redemption 2 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)

      Please note that the files are not streamed and almost all of this will go into memory (if you see an error that ends in ffffff, know that it is not from the mod but from the pools ("blowing up") big valley1+hi for comparison the original is 13mb) here are much more massive than the original files.

      There are other settings in gameconfig.xml that have not been touched by any game config, but are very important for ... for everything that unlocks the system directly...
      .Please note that if you are using the code for other files and only changing the paths, it will lead to a performance drop. Just here we have 27,000 symbols and the files are not that many. Imagine my the characters directory which has 486 files :))

    I followed every steps to install the mod, but the mod doesn't work at all, I see no changes in texture, what's wrong? (I'm using vulkan, used lml to install the mod)

    It would be a godsend if you could do a high res texture overall on the horses (and trees)! They have some of the worst textures in the game!

      I'm pretty sure I played with dynamic seasons for a while with this mod in my playthrough. Try it out and see.

    what an insane good texture mod. huge respect and i recommend it to everyone! 
    if i could make a request, could you upload the same texture but with a tiny downgrade ? my 8gb card on 1440p maxes out on some areas and creates choppy framerates.

      Thanks for the kind words. Downgrading would be too much work, there are so many archives. Even slight changes might make the game crash, and this current version doesn't have those issues and its tested. You should try lowering some settings if you are VRAM limited.
      I recommend checking Hardware Unboxed optimized settings. I was using those with 8GB VRAM at the time without maxing my VRAM.

      Not really, this game has way too many archives with duplicated textures everywhere which needs to be changed or there will be issues. I'll give you an example:
      I have lets say grass texture in main terrain archive. It's using BC7 compression. In this archive it doesn't cause crashes.
      I would have to replace this grass texture in specific terrain archives and there might be 40+ archives including this same texture.
      Some of those archive file changes even causes crashes with same compression which did work on the main archive.
      So I don't really have time or sanity to do that.
      I wish the game was more mod friendly, I would have loved to continue this project :/

      I haven’t tested and I’m not sure what R* lets people use online. I do not recommend using this online since modifying files might get you banned.
