BRO THIS IS AMAZING. I went from like max 35 fps to max 40-45 fps on my gtx 950m/gtx 660. Drops a little from 30 in Saint Denis and other more intensive places. I also changed the resolution to 1600x900, capped to 30 fps and it's still hella smooth. Goated mod
they wont you have to put the file in your settings folder and then at the bottom put in your graphics card driver when you enter the game DONT go into settings because then it will revert it back to normal.
I know. I made this for people that doesn't have money to buy a gaming pc or a console. I know kids that would be very happy if they would play like this. Not all parents can afford to buy they're kid a console or a pc with GTX graphic card or Ryzen 5 or Intel i7 to play RDR 2.
@ bursucshow: do you know of a solution to ERR_GFX_STATE error? I have a bare bones laptop that used to play RDR2 with no issues until a few months ago; and for reasons unknown it now constantly crashes. Thank you for reading :)
Its because of the new build. Which is 1493.11. Try switching the API see what works the best DX12 or Vulkan. If this doesnt work try searching on google for fixes. But if the error still persists you might just wanna grab a the Rdr2 build 1311 by EMPRESS. Is preinstalled and doesnt require any setup to install just download through a t.orrent and play it.
@ bursucshow: Wanted to chime back in to say its sad that I had to find a iso image in order to actually play this game, as my Steam version crashed constantly. I didn't find the build you recommended, and even the version I have now still gives me the ERR_GFX_STATE error; however, at least it will play for longer than 15 to 30 minutes. Thank you for the recommendation. Since you requested specs here's my older rig, Alienware 18 R1, Nvidia GTX 780m, intel i7 4700MQ, 24 DDR3 RAM. Thank you for reading 😊
