Uh is it normal for the filter.ymt to be completely empty? I've recently had the mod suddenly stop working on me until I snooped around and noticed it.

  Yeah that is normal, I had already mentioned the update of the filter.ymt file in description but I will explain why more. The filter.ymt files only function is to create the buttons (On the top Right), display them and to link between both the online and story screens on the landing page. So deleting all information in the file would infact remove the buttons and their functions and has no effect on anything else as it's impossible. It still needs to be installed correctly even with it being blank inside as any mod you add in lml for example will take priority over the RDR2's version of the file, thus removing the buttons. The reason I updated the file blank is just to neat it up a bit after fixing the mod. The reasons why the mod may not work are the following: not installed correctly, another mod conflicts with it but very unlikely as it only has one real function, update to game may change it's install path so may not work but this is installed through an update path which takes prority over everything else so again very unlikely. Now it could be one of the other files in the mod but again they do different things and you have not exaclty mentioned if it's the whole mod thats not working or if it's just one issue but the reasons again if it was another file would be the same as to why it's not working.

it's somehow given me the opposite effect. Stuck on the online menu and I can't access the story menu

  I'm sorry to hear that I really am. This mod does remove the buttons on top right of landing page so I can imagine the problem you must be having but I can't understand why myself. Did you start the game up with this mod applied? as I say it only gets rid of the select buttons on top of screen for online and I'm kind of new at this an if I've made a mistake I'd like to know more info if you have any on your problem. I don't go online for this game on my windows PC so I may have not thought of unknown issues. The file responsible for the removal of the switching to online is in the 'filter.ymt' file in the widgets folder.

  i get the same bug. pressing the rb/lb buttons doesn't work. noteable that i have played RDO before. removing/disabling the file filter.ymt as you said fixes this but it certainly removes the cleanness of not having it on the screen

  what i do is join rdr story once or twice
  then see if it brings you up on story instead of online when it does bring you to the story landing page install the mod
