Guys, This mod i fully compadibile with dynamic seasons, just do regular install please https://discord.gg/EhxEhD3T
Bruh 5 endorsments aged well! Thank you so much guys for the support, When I Release the final version of this mod (no Dynamic seasons sync), i have to finish that first before i start making the crossover :)
I want to explain this because of how no one seems to be, and I apologize because this isn't the place for it but dynamic seasons doesn't have comments. I guess it also applies here too though so...
This game was designed with one season (summer) in mind. Therefore, the temperature range from "Sunny" to "Blizzard" is like +20 to -20 in the "Weather.XML" file of any overhaul mod. This lets the game have a greater range of temperature in the north and south, because it's never gonna snow in St Denis normally.
You want to make this a range closer to +/-10 degrees instead when using Dynamic Seasons in that file to flatten it out. Use the actual "Flatten" value and increase closer to "1.0" for a more dramatic night/day difference.
You can edit both that and the "RegionTemperatureInfo.XML" file to tune everything to your personal taste. You can further merge these mods by modifying their "install.XML" file and keeping the weather you like from mod A mixed with the whatever you like from mod B, and organizing the folders into one/smartly deleting redundant files.
I'm not expert and I play on steam deck so I'm not trying to make a mod that rips up 5 modder's hard work and ideas that I tweaked, but I'm running Collaryum weather with vestigia AI changes, Dynamic Seasons for the seasons part, Whyem Visuals for the "higher/lower" elevation temp changes and a few other bits etc to my own personal taste. They all have flashes of genius and I didn't want to have to choose, so I sat there and played with it.
Hell you can even extend lantern ranges by going into the weather files and finding the "carried light falloff" sections, or make nights brighter/darker to taste etc. The point is, don't sit around waiting for a magic fix that isn't coming. Invest a little time learning by looking at what people have done and comparing different codes and get the experience YOU want.
Apologies to anyone who doesn't want only pieces of their mod used in this way, it's not a judgement on your talents. I just really believe a lot of people have a lot of good ideas but it's hard to completely "fix" any game by yourself. Thanks to all the modder's 🤙
Good explanation, but it's hard for someone who doesn't speak English and doesn't understand anything about programming like me to simply learn by exploring. And look, I tried to change the temperatures of the Dynamic Season mod, I copied all the lines of code from Scarlet Meadows to the other regions to try to have a warm climate in the summer season, but I still get 0 degrees in the summer in Valentine, which I find very unimmersive.
Did you make changes to the temperatures of the regions and the seasons of Dynamic Season to make it more consistent? For example: is the whole map hot in summer and the whole map cold in winter? If so, could you make the files available for me to use?
can someone understand what the numbers mean in the file like "<TemperatureOffset value="-4.000000" />"? does it mean it's colder when it's in the negatives and hotter when it's a high number like 75.0000 or something?
I installed this on vanilla and somehow the color of the climate also seems affected. For example, I noticed the temperature to be warmer in the Heartlands region, but it also had the "warm orange" filter that the game puts on screen when you're in Lemoyne. Is this on purpose?
Unfortunately the guy doesn't work on this mod anymore. This mod doesn't work well with Dynamic Seasons. It doesn't solve the problem of "too cold in summer" and "too hot in winter". There is still snow in MacFarlane's ranch in winter, when it's about 20-25 degrees celsius. You have to accept the bugs and live with it. This mod works quite ok without Dynamic Seasons though.
Damn, I was hoping this would be the mod to fix Dynamic Seasons. I've been using it with Vestigia and Humidity and Temperature Overhaul, and I've finally gotten to winter and was disappointed by seeing Saint Denis covered in snow at 20 degrees Celsius.
Do I have to overwrite the Regiontempinfo for dynamic seasons or put this on a separate folder? I rlly want this mod to work cause dynamic seasons only change visuals, every time winter comes its 20+ degrees and doesn't snow.
This mod desperately needs to be merged with the "seasons" and "humidity and temp overhaul" mods to make the ambient weather and core behavior work more realistic!
Is there any way to tweak the temp that's affecting the weather core? 'Cause right now I'm getting "warm" (yellow) as soon as putting on a jacket at 6°C which is absolute bs. Would it be possible to change/have a "tolerance" on the "weather core" impact, depending on the season?
Any chance that both mods can be tweaked in that way? This would mean such an immersion boost to the game.
There is no confirmation in LML manager that I have installed the mod correctly. From the description it follows: put the replace folder in LML (I have other mods, and I understand how it works, sort of)). But after I put the folder in LML, I don't overwrite anything and don't understand if there is a difference in the game or not. Maybe I need to put the replace folder in steam/lml? I'm asking for help, I'm obviously stupid and don't understand how to install your mod correctly.
second question. What is this mod for? Are the game mechanics changing? I don't use Vestigia or Dynamic Seasons.

I am a little confused. Is this mod compatible with Dynamic seasons or not? Or shall i download previous version?
Thanks
