There were some worried people in the community due to the fact there is an .exe injector in this ScriptHook. While we have not seen the source code, Tuxick is a respected and known contributor to the GTA5 modding community and we have received numerous reports of this ScriptHook working for users, which leads us to believe that this is safe to use.

Anyone know where script hook saves it’s registry? Ive removed stash that lantern and bounties expansion files but script hook keeps trying to load them and it causes errors and crashes I was wondering if anyone knew how to reset scripthooks memory or something, cuz I I’ve deleted every script hook file and replaced them with new ones from the rar back ups, Still happens. Thank you
Holy s#*! figured it out, all you gotta do if your having the same issue of reloading scripts on old versions is pull up the console follow the help instructions, reload scripts command, after that my console stopped working I restarted the game but before that I delted bounties expansion and stash that lantern, and it worked. No more horse mounting crashes
Still haven’t tested if stash that lantern or bounties expansion was causing horse mount crashes conflicting with amjm. But probably bounties expansion
I might be having same issue, but unsure. Can you clarify what you mean by "pull up the console ... follow the help instructions, reload the scripts command." Is this console command in the trainer program within the game? I have not loaded any trainers as I just load the mod files directly and the scripthook files without the trainer files.
Instructions unclear, doesnt work at all and I have no idea how to troubleshoot.
Edit: The specific issue being launching the game normally via steam leads to literally nothing changing (I do have a trainer script in the scripts folder but using the "toggle menu" hotkey ingame does nothing). I tried directly executing the launcher.exe in this scripthook, and it opens Rockstar Games Launcher, which then attempts to launch the game via steam, but fails to actually launch this way (maybe rockstar noticing modding? This happened to me before when I had WeMod installed and deleting WeMod allowed the game to launch again so maybe script hook is being detected here). Either way I dont really know much about modding so I dont know how to troubleshoot this or where to begin.
I want to make sure this script hook is actually installed and working before I direct blame to the trainer mod, as the trainer depends on this.
make a separate folder outside of your game folder and copy everything from your game folder (all folders and files EXCEPT: .rpf files AND x64 folder - you will be able to make a backup of your game folder in case something gets overwritten or it just stops working and you don't know why. I use this method all the time when installing new mods that involve version.dll/scripthook/asi loaders (overwriting a file or puting folders like replace etc in LML). This takes very little space to do and it is an insurance policy against having to reinstall etc..
if i have RDR2 from steam, is there any possibility for this trainer to work? because after entering the launcher, it pops up that I do not have a rockstar game and the trainer does not work
You should download the new update of scripthook. It's chrashes bcs new game update. If you don't know how to install or dowload the scripthook, check YouTube or ask Google.
You need to remove the "version.dll" file or the "dinput8.dll" in order to launch the game for the moment. The update was released today so we'll have to wait a bit for a scripthook update.
R* is the biggest shithouse company there is. Literally cant play a singeplayer game without the need to be online and updating it. Even when auto update is disabled.
Feels like theres a bunch of disabled people at R*
Can't argue with you there, R* never been really smart when it comes to PC versions (GTA IV...). If modders could find a way to bypass the launcher that would be so great.
Well I think it's clearly why the game is better on PC. 60 fps sure but the mods on this game really improves the experience, considering the fact that Rockstar does not plan to take care of the solo part.
Yours won't run because you probably still have files like version.dll and/or dinput8.dll. All those files have to be completely removed or the game simply won't run. Courtesy of R*. For your continued patronage. Have a nice day!
This is why I always back up my rdr 2 game folder and move it, then I let the update work on my copy version and just replace it after with the moved one
