Hi, I love your work and would love to use the corn spotted roan. I'm new to modding in red dead and am curious how this works with the horse breed, though, as I know that stabling an online breed can break a save due to the game not recognizing it in story mode, so I imagine the same is true here. How should I use coats that in the mod are on either online breeds (like norfolk roadster from "Another Mod for Horse Coats," for example), or aren't in the game at all such as the Murgese?
I would like to be able to stable and save the game with modded horse coats and play as if it were the base game; does this require I swap coats onto horse breeds that are already in story mode, or is there a way to keep modded models like this one and use them as if they were part of the base game? I'm comfortable with either editing .ymt files or just switching models if that's what's necessary, I'd just like explicit guidance so I don't break my game, thank you!
I'm not sure if I really understand what you're saying but these horses can all be used right away, no modification needed! The description tells everything you need to know. They'll simply replace a horse in the story mode (that you can obviously use and stable just fine).
Ok, great! I had read that stabling an online horse in story mode would break the save, but I'm now realizing that was probably related to spawning online horses with a trainer, not using a mod like this one to replace story mode horses. All good, thanks!
Hi, first thing first. Beautiful work. I´ve been using stay vanilla mod, and it's absolutely brilhant. Congrats!
Second, I´ve deleted stay vanilla mod and installed the murgese blue roan mod, and the issue I´ve been having is that when I spawn the hungarian dapple gray with a simple trainer, the horse appears with no mane and just a stub for a tail, so no "hair". I ´ve tried both version.dll and dinput8.dll asi loaders, and installed all the ymt. and ytd. file to the strem folder inside the LML folder.
Do you have any tips on how to solve this?
Also, I´ve noticed that all the coats on the murgeses mod subtitute the same horse. How does that work if I want to install more than one murgese coat?
Thank you! Do you perhaps have "Online Content Unlocker" installed? To replace another horse you can just change the .ymt name to the horse you want to replace, for example, if you wanted to replace the black arabian, you would change the name of the .ymt to "a_c_horse_arabian_black" :)
I have LML manager elsewhere but the .ymt file is in the "stream" folder of the main lml file in the root game folder and yet when I take out my Dapple Gray Hungarian Halfbreed, it doesn't turn it to full black but instead it's just the default skin.
Anyways, I got it to work. I thought you could truncate the asi file deep into one more layer of file as long as it's in the main game root folder but you can't. Removed it back to the root folder and now it works. Thanks anyway.
Just saw this, you should make a collection of these in 1 mod that you can download all of them. Its a useless suggestion but a good idea, to me atleast.
from the Warnings section. This means you have to find a Dark Dapple Grey Hungarian Halfbred and that would be your new Murgese since it replaces the vanilla Hungarian Halfbred Dark Dapple Grey. That's how horse mods work. If you don't know how to find a Dark Dapple Grey Hungarian Halfbred (and therefore, the Murgese), check this site or, alternatively, search on the internet its position which is Valentine's stables. Or you can still spawn it by using a trainer, if you have one. So, to summarize, go to Valentine's stables, select the Hungarian Halfbred Dark Dapple Grey and buy it. That's it ^^ Pretty simple, right? Hope this was clear.
