    It would be interesting for you to comment on why you add/delete mods (mostly delete tbf).  Been following your suggestions for a bit now and have found some great mods - but when checking the changelog I always wonder your reasoning for making the changes.

      Follow the install instruction for each and every single mod you'd want to install in their respective mod pages. Follow the links in the description. This mod page only provides files and merges AFTER you've installed the suggested mods in the description page.

    Hello again,

    When I see the following instreuction:
    Persistent and Natural Dirt
    Fixes the auto cleaning of players character that happens during gameplay.
    # Install only Patch (visualsettings.dat) in FILES section.

    Does it mean I need to instal only Patch from FILES section and nothing else or do I need to install original mod first?

    Dont you think visual redemption, collyrium or just darker nights would be better than vestigia? The colors are not that good and the mod is not getting frequent updates anymore (i asked the author he plans an update but has not given a time frame), and the worst issue with vestigia is that the light sources are extremely weak and dark.

      It is a purely subjective choice but for me Vestigia produces the best results with nice rain effects, realistic lights & awesome weathers.

      • Collyrium has a real problem with clouds
      • Visual redemption kills FPS & colors are too bright

      sorry for the followup question, but what problem do the clouds when using collyrium exactly have? Ive tested collyrium some time now and everything seems alright, the clouds actually look really good (some guy wrote an essay about all these three in here https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/1adi62l/vestigia_vs_collyrium_redone_vs_visual_redemption/). And ive also searched the posts and there seems to be no cloud problem pointed out. Thanks for the answer in advance!!

      Edit: the bright colors are gonna be elimanated if you use the vanilla style option in visual redemption, or am i wrong?

      edit2: ive resorted to using a custom dark nights mod (from deadwoodd on discord, it works extremely well), your visualsettings patch plus the global folder and the files inside of the vestigia mod (weather & tempature system, ped ai tweaks, animal tweaks, misc)

      Thanks for the quick response, but might be looking into that what Ive said in edit2, you can still use the weathersystem from vestigia with this method. but anyway have a great rest of your day!

    Anyone experiancing a bug where Arthur is not wearing a hat at the start of the game anymore. Seems to be a problem with the Non-Sticky hats mod if remove that file he has one. Wondering if I am the only one with this issue.

      yes I see this, doesn't bother me too much and it doesn't always happen either. seems to be ok when I'm in a saved outfit in the save. if I have a custom hat I don't load back in with it on. it's pickable at the camp tho, so slightly immersion breaking but not too bad

    I was able to successfully install most things in the guide (some mods I ignored simply because I don't want them). The despawn issue is hit or miss, some trolleys in St. Denis have folks in them, others do not. It takes a while for a train to come by but when they do come, its either security guards or passenger train with folks in most carriages. Is this normal or is my despawn/game sound broken?

      The spawn issue is a weird one to diagnose. 

      I would look up "red dead redemption 2 chicken run" by Chunk (another modder on the nexus). They have an excellent video on how to test it and diagnose just how broken your games spawns are.

      That being said, I've installed the mod list with all but one or two mods (controller, so none of the keyboard ones, though it shouldn't matter really). The spawn issue seems to be not a problem, and generally most mods don't impact it (or do so at an irrelevant level).

      The chicken run will really tell you how bad your game is. With this setup you should hit all the low priority spawns. Also, yeah a few trams will have no passengers sometimes even in vanilla, and trains are just not a great way to check it. They're not reliable enough in vanilla to check in a modded game. But the chickens and st Denis checks are, as those are consistently spawned and are also "low priority" spawns and are the first to to when you're having the spawn bug.

    - I wanna thank you for putting in all the work to make this list
    - I gotta know why ingame world sounds only mod is on the list if it doesn't work and hasn't worked for what seems like a few years (and your google sheet has no comment on it not working)
    - If you're gonna reference your google sheet as a place of info to see all the mods that are removed and why, you should try not to make comments that are so vague that they only make sense to you and also comment every mod. I found it very challenging to interpret alot of your sheet personally. (I also didnt know how to see what the symbols meant for a while)

      I finished installing and everything is working fine so far, but wondering, why is ped damage overhaul in your sheet but not listed as a mod that you removed and not on the list of mods I need to install?

      Somehow all the weapons in the gunsmiths are unlocked from chapter 1, I can't for the life of me narrow down what mod is doing this. Please help if you know?
      Idk if it's intentional for the list, but I personally feel like them all being unlocked at the start erases a core part of the games progression. Why use any of these other guns if I can just immediately buy my favorite pistol.....
