The changes should appear in real-time right? I'm using this and the main mod for the first time and there are just no changes to the ped's body while I'm changing the values... I have the ped's ymt file in my stream folder, and I think I followed the directions right, how do I fix this?
I ran into the same problem. I was able to circumvent it, by using a trainer, turning into the ped I wanted to edit, pressing F7 and editing the values for it. Then when I was done, I'd write down the values, exit the editor and copy my own outfit onto myself (In rampage you can do this by hijacking the ped you turned into and adding a shortcut to the "Clone outfit to me" option). When you clone the outfit to yourself, the expressions are applied as well, so you can see the changes. This also works by aiming at other peds, but doing it while being the ped you want to edit is the most efficient workflow I was able to find so far. It seems the editor itself is bugged, it worked once for me, but never again... Now this method is the only way I can use it. And it also seems cutscene characters are not affected by it sadly, even if you use a normal ped as a base and clone cutscene ped outfit to yourself.
Can someone please give me a complete list of things to do to get this mod to work. im stuck after converting xml to ymt. i want to turn arthur into a bit more muscular model. please help
How did you make the main expression editor mod work for your Arthur? What I did was replace EVERY single <expressions> items </expressions> I could find with what was instructed (the long block of text), and I know it's case-sensitive even with the indentations and I think I made no errors. Was I not supposed to replace every single one?
Also last question man, there are two ymt files for Arthur I found in OpenIV, which one should I mod: the one from packs_.rpf or the other from the update_4.rpf? I had used the ymt from the latter yesterday and I didn't know which one it should be because the game crashed... I'm just trying to make sure this time. Thanks again for the replies mate!
Does the ped's ymt file need to be converted back from xml to ymt or can it be left as an xml file? If it has to be a ymt file, is changing the extension sufficient or do I need some conversion tool for it? Because I've only been able to get them as xml files so far...
I tried it on Arthur's model player_zero.ymt as it's the one shown in the pictures and therefore should be working, but he spawns in completely invisible and I can't change any of his outfits either. Cloning his outfit over to myself, caused John to get wider shoulders, so I'm guessing at least part of the mod should be working.
Also I don't know if it might be relevant, but I also have YMT Helper installed. Using it on Arthur's invisible model crashed the game for me, which I guess means these two mods aren't compatible or maybe I screwed up somewhere?
Sorry for the offtopic, I really like your GTA 5 weapon system mod, but I'd appreciate if I could also see rifles on Arthur's back (not on a shoulder). Could you tell me, please, how to make this possibe?
Scroll all the way down to the bottem of weapons.ymt and look for id_ph_rifle or id_ph_rifle_inverted and change <ShowWeaponWithoutMetaPedAttachTag value="false" /> false to true
That worked, thanks! But the rifle (on back) is invisble when I load a saved game. It becomes visible only when I open the selection wheel. Could you please tell me how to fix this invisibility thing? Sorry for bothering you, really. You just seem to know a lot about these things and I'm an absolute noob in modding RS games.
