This mod is really well done and fun! The model and coat looks really sharp and clean and I'm having a lot of fun riding around on my zebra. I did find that for some reason my choice of zeb (black stripe 2) spawned without a tail, but i just stuck one on it at a stable and it was fine from there.
My question is is it possible to have more than one coat in the game at once? If i change the horse type that each one replaces so theyre all different? Sorry if this is a very obvious question, this is my first time trying to mod a game!
You could but you would also have to modify the texture merge numbers and codes inside the .ymt files
Edit: I tried the Black Striped 2 version and it works as a charm in my game. I guess it probably depends on the fact I used an online tail type and, if you're using OCU, it is known that some assets are not included. So it's an issue on your end. I suggest trying version.dll or updating it if already present.
What sort of modification would need to be done on the .ymt files? Would it be relatively easy to change some things around or something with a lot of trial and error? I did get the black stripe 2 replacing the wild bay mustangs and not tiger stripe so I was able to get a zebra as Arthur without having to go fully down into the dessert as it usually ends up in death XD
You'd have to know the exact code that corresponds to a certain texture "merge number" and change both of them. If you're not so familiar with ymt editing, it would be a bit hard to explain and this is certainly not the place for long chats like that. Since this mod replace Mustang Tiger-Stripped Bay, could you also upload literally Tiger stripe coat? I mean Zebra stripe is almost similar to Tiger stripe.
I figured that zebras would more closely resemble the game's donkeys, so I tried porting the textures for the Black Stripes 1 version over to the donkey and this was the result. Have you possibly considered making a donkey version? I think it would look pretty nice.
I thought that might be the case, I was thinking it might be possible to create a new (or edited) texture specifically for the donkey but I'm not sure how you edited them in the first place
