This is for me the best reshade preset out there, i really like the new colors, it really makes the game more realistic and the enhanced lighting is perfect, specially at night time. Is not oversaturated, not too sharpened and doesn't affect my fps like others, maybe 1 or 2 less fps.
I highly recommend this mod because it makes my game look absolutely beautiful. It adds just the right amount of saturation, contrast, sharpness and lighting without any performance loss on my end. Thank you for providing us with your great work! Endorsed and voted :)
Yeah, there are plenty of ReShade Tutorials out there on YouTube, so not sure what you're talking about. First, go to the Reshade Website, download the latest version open up the ReShade_Setup_.exe from your downloads folder in file explorer. Then, select RDR2.exe (if you have more than one rdr2.exe only choose the one you have mods on or want to mod with). Select Vulkan not DirectX because almost every single mod here works with Vulkan not DirectX and hit next then de-select and then re-select everything wait for it to install all of the reshade effects, and next time follow the instructions to install this mod in the description. - Ain't that hard.
probably a stupid question but i noticed that the map gets lighter when i use the reshade, can i still use the reshade while the map doesn't get lighter?
I don't know why but if i try to use the folder where all the files are in, it just shows me that reshade couldn't find the them Every other shader works but this one doesn't
Installation instructions are unclear and difficult for no reason. Leads to compilation issues or some effects not even appearing at all.
Easier and correct instructions are as follows:
Download this file Extract this file Download ReShade (Any "newer" version should work, I used the latest, 5.8.0. However, you can find older versions here if you prefer) Run ReShade Locate and select your RDR2.exe file Select the API your game is running on, DX12 or Vulkan On the following screen when it prompts you to "Select preset to install" select browse and locate the .ini file you downloaded and extracted from this mod. (Should be "Simple Lighting&Color Correction for RDR2 1.2.ini" or whatever version you downloaded) After selecting the .ini click "Next" On the "Select effect packages" screen just hit next again, as it already selected the needed effects for you since you clicked the preset .ini file Click finish
Before launching, if you wish to change the key that opens the ReShade window, since "Home" opens the Rockstar Social thingy madoohickey, go to your game folder (where RDR2.exe is located) and look for "ReShade.ini". Open it and under the [Input] section locate "KeyOverlay". Using this find the corresponding keycode for whatever key you want and change the number "36,0,0,0" to whatever you want. For example, PageUp is 33, so you would type "33,0,0,0". Save and exit.
And that is all. Now simply launch the game and open the ReShade window (with the key you selected) and on the drop down select the preset (if it isn't already selected) and enjoy! Feel free to also check "Performance Mode" aswell. I always do.
YOU are a LIFESAVER! I appreciate modders and all for their efforts in making games more enjoyable, but I don't know why they like keeping things vague regarding on how to install their mods. It's honestly pretty ridiculous, but yeah, THANK YOU!
Little late on this but this did help a lot, had some trouble in this section

But i eventually overcame it as bad at modding as i am, big props to you!
Pretty good preset. I do find myself disabling Curves and RetroTint though, as I find the game to be losing a bit of detail with both on, and it gives too much of a blue tint.. and that's with the no blue tint preset ^^
