Thank you so much for the reshade, was trying to get the perfect balance of visuals and environment overhauls but was struggling, now this reshade with Vestigia is just ... *chefs kiss*

Your Reshade is really amazing!! I'm using it with WhyEm Visuals that also improve HDR, I had to tweak some settings tho. it will be amazing if you update you reshade and make a version for WhyEm visuals : )
Hi, I'm using Whyem Visuals too. What settings did you change? Because i need to set the "Paper White" setting close to 300. Before the Reshade, it was set under 150. The result is the light is too bright and the shadows and interiors too dark
everytime i press home to bring up the reshade settings it brings up the stupid rockstar social club screen over the top. its impossible to change any reshade settings because of this
You can change the key outside of the game with the reshade.ini file in the main directory. Open it up, look for the line: KeyOverlay= and change it to KeyOverlay=45,0,0,0
This will make INSERT the default key for the overlay.
Is there a question here? When installing Reshade you will have the chance to select effect packs to install. Those 3 are the ones you need for this preset to work.
Just wanted to leave a comment saying excellent work with this mod! The grey-ish tint and lifted blacks this game has, has been plaguing me ever since I moved to PC and got an Oled (I know, I know, boo-hoo poor me). I tried multiple different reshades, tried messing with the hdr settings, lowering the gamma, and eventually settled for turning the fine tune dark areas setting to somewhere between -10 and -15 (couldn't even decide that). Just when I was going to give up on this gripe, I randomly check to see if there were any new mods on Nexus and what do you know, sure enough someone with almost the exact same T.V., noticing the exact same problem, decides to upload a reshade addressing this exact same issue all tuned with HDR in mind! Originally, I didn't want to have to boot reshade up and go through that whole rigmarole only to be disappointed yet again, however, this time it was totally worth it! The dark areas are dark without the blacks seeming crushed somehow, the game seems clearer, sharper, more defined, and overall more pleasing to the eye than I have ever witnessed it! Kudos, and please know whatever time it took to make this reshade did not go to waste on us and is very much appreciated by at least one other digital cowboy on this god forsaken green and blue marble!
With that out of the way, I was curious if you did anything in particular to get Reshade 5.1 to boot up with Rdr2. I have installed it multiple times previously and have never had the issue of it not even registering when the game starts. I ended up just using an older version but am curious if the newer one has better performance. Secondly, what paper white setting did you use while calibrating this reshade? Sorry for the long winded post, lol.
Thank you very much for your kind words, it means more to me than you think! My white paper setting is set to 240
As for Reshade 5.1.0 in Vulkan I was struggling with it a bit as well. Heres what you do:
Download and Unzip ReShade_Setup_5.1.0.exe with 7zip or winrar
You will get some .dll and .json files, put the ReShade64.json and ReShade64.dll files in the main Red Dead Redemption 2 directory.
Open regedit in windows and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\Vulkan\ImplicitLayers
If it's not already present create a new DWORD (32-bit) value with the name "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Red Dead Redemption 2\ReShade64.json" without " " (your folder structure might be different, always have this point to where you put the reshade files).
Start the game and reshade should be working now
I will also add this information to the mod page in case more ppl are struggling with Reshade in Vulkan
