Just downloaded your gang, antagonist, and Arthur upscale mods all together right now. Hopped in game and everyone is a pasty white, similar to Arthur in chapter 6. Wondering if this is a problem on my part? Installed everything correctly, so idk.
I just tried this and started a mission. Marston and Javier were deathly white, like tail end of dying from pneumonia. Then I noticed Marstons left eye was black and bloodshot. This looked more like some weird undead/zombie mode. I disabled it and everyone looks healthy.
FYI upscaling is extremely easy and simple and this guy does not have any claim to textures he took from the game and ran through an AI. If you want to get comparable or much better results, just grab the .ytds using RDR2's OpenIV and upscale them with gigapixel, esrgan, etc.
Hi just some dumb question. Because i'm a bit curious about ram usage. Does upscale mods like any upscale mod, does it still necessary for 1080p res? I cant quite see any difference in quality. Thanks for those who will answer :D
There is no benefit in 1080p. You need at least a 1440p monitor to fully enjoy 2k-4k upscaled mods. You can only benefit from an upscaled mod if it is upscaled from below your current resolution. So for these face-upscaled mods, which in vanilla are 1k, there's really no gain.
@vincemeister55 Thats not true, your monitor resolution isn’t relative to the texture sizes that you use in game, video game models are not flat they are three-dimensional, it has nothing to do with the size of the texture being below your current resolution either and every bit to do with the size of the object in the game that the texture is being used for. An example would be if a vanilla texture for a large mountain slab is 2048 and in 1080p you put a 4096 on it, you're going to see a big difference, but if there's a cup on the table and it's in 1024 and you put a 2048 on it, then you want see a huge dramatic difference because the models are three-dimensional and the texture is wrapped around it, so you are only seeing part of the texture at one time, but you will see a difference, the model will look more sharp and clear.
Hey there, Is there someone who sees completely pale characters to the extent that they look like they're sick? (similar to how Arthur looked when he was sick) I had to disable the mod because it made me feel the pain ://
Are the files in any way interdependent on eachother or can i use just a few of them? (hosea matthews and john marston) I am playing at 4k with dlss running at slightly above the default "quality" resolution 0.72966667 (2800x1575) instead of 0.66666667 (2560x1440), so i think it should load the biggest textures the game has to offer. The only two I want to i really want to change are Hosea's (his stubble which is more like a plain smooth gray area in the original) and John Marston, (the face wounds look weird in such low res specially next to the fine detail of the 3d stitches and eyelashes and such). I'm not terribly concerned with a possible performance impact, it's more that i'm afraid of bugs (like the reported one with pearson's lacking eyebrows).

I take it back, it was a memory issue in my computer
