1) Download ScriptHookRDR2, extract ScriptHookRDR2.dll into your game folder. 2) Download RDR2_Asi_Loader, extract version.dll into your game folder. 3) Download Lenny's Mod Loader RDR, extract the contents of ModLoader folder from the pack into your game folder.
As a result you should have these files & folders in the same location as the game's .exe: lml (folder) lml.ini ModManager.Core.dll ModManager.NativeInterop.dll NLog.dll ScriptHookRDR2.dll version.dll vfs.asi
4) To install any mod that requires lml: - Copy the mod folder into the lml folder that is now in your game directory. So copy the Challenges folder from this mod's archive into lml folder.
Alternatively: - To use the Mod Manager that comes with LML there is a tutorial video on Lenny's Mod Loader page.
Okay so I got the mod to work and I think I got the definitive answer on how to for those who are still looking for answers.
First of all, before downloading this mod, my game was EXTREMELY ALTERED through the use of a Save Editor. Sooooo, I basically had to start all over again, I installed a Chapter 2 save file to basically skip Chapter 1 and have a few challenges and the open world unlocked. (Link to the save file I used: Chapter 2 Save File)
After that, I loaded up the game and used the Rampage Trainer (Link: Rampage Trainer) to unlock the remaining challenges that I had locked. (If you don't know where to go, open the menu with F5, go to Character Stats, Unlockables, and press enter on the challenges. I avoided the Legend of the East outfit. You also want to make sure that Rampage did its job and unlocked the challenges, doing so just go to Progress, Challenges, and check if the challenges were actually unlocked, it should be obvious. If not, just go back to the Unlockables menu and double press the challenges, that should do it.)
I then saved the game and quit to desktop, went to my game directory folder and LITERALLY deleted every mod that I had, from .asi files to mods I downloaded using Lenny's Mod Loader.
TL;DR, clean your game from any mods (including those in the downloads folder inside the lml folder) asides from the Challenges mod and Rampage (I installed the mod with Rampage still on and it worked.)
I loaded up the game and it worked! Once all challenges were finished (Asides from Master Hunter 10) I unistalled the Challenges mod and reinstalled the mods that I have previously deleted, hopefully this worked for those who are still having issues with the mod.
You don't have to remove any of your other mods or go through that whole tedious task. Just install using Lennys Mod Manager that comes with LML, put it at the top above all of your other mods, and hit Overwrite.
Thank you so much. Works perfectly!! Got all the rewards and everything. God I'm so tired of redoing the Gambler challenges everytime I restart (its equipments are my favourite, you see).
If for some reason some of you didn't get the Legend of The East outfit, make sure to do the following:
1. DO NOT save or do any activites while the mod is running and the pop ups are still popping up. Wait until your screen is clear of them. The Pop ups will include Challenge Progressions, Money Rewards, and Equipment unlocks notifications on the top left of the screen. Be patient. 2. Wait a couple minutes after all pop ups cleared just in case there are more (The Herbalist 10 Challenge takes a while) 3. Complete the final Master Hunter Challenge and wait until The Legend of The East pop up has appeared before saving or doing anything else.
Other than that, just follow maverickheart's instructions. Install the mod after A Fisher of Man.
sorry for the late reply, but have you tried that? I assume the script would just skip the challenge and you won't have to complete it again afterwards. especially when this mod works with partially-completed challenges. For me it was, again, Gambler hehe
Found a solution for my situation. Like everyone else, it didn't work, even with checkmark "overwrite". The thing was that I had a modification "No more grindy challenges" and i just unchecked it. Launched the game, it worked. After that, I saved the game, exited and turned off this modification, returned Nmgc back. Theres no need to remove all the mods from your folder, just those who use "goals_sp.meta" files and uncheck it in ModManager. Works fine with cracked version RDR 2 1311.23.
For those that cant get it to work, dont use the rdr2 asi loader as mentioned in the sticky post since it uses version.dll which is outdated, not even Lennys mod loader includes it anymore.
Use the mod loader (dinput8.dll) and the scripthook here: ScriptHookRDR2 V2 Use Lennys Mod Loader beta 11 (or newer): Lenny's Mod Loader (im not using the mod manager thats included)
Put the Auto Challenges folder inside the lml folder.
Guys, for any of you that is not working out, 1st, you must unlock every challenge first, see in your log to confirm and make sure it is 0 out of 9 challenges. 2nd the survivalist challenge won't be available until you go fishing with jack in the last 3 missions of chapter 2, or you can unlock it by using rampage trainer. 3rd paste the challenge folder in lml folder as usual, then load up lenny mod manager and put it into the mod manager, if it doesn't have a tick on the mod, click overwrite tick box on the right side of the manager and refresh. this should do the trick
can anyone help does this mod work with cracked version? because when i add all the mods together the game just doesnt load, instead it loads in the background. but when i removed all the mods the game loaded like normal. can anyone help or do you need the steam version for this mod
Worked like a charm and saved me the pain of gathering 43 herbs or some other nonsense in my 3rd playthrough. Did that once, never want to do it again, since it is such a waste of time and yet required to get max stats. Bonus core levels were also properly unlocked. Killed the legendary panther and all challenges were completed.
Saw several people submitting bug reports saying this mod doesn't work so I thought I'd say, I downloaded it today and installed it in an existing save and it works perfectly. Logged in and all challenges were complete with the exception of the final master hunter (which is working as intended). If it isn't working for you, it's likely some kind of conflict because the mod works.
