The smoke looks good to me. You don't need a lot of it because it might interfere with aiming

Thank you! Yeah the way they used that specific effect on NPCs is not straightforward by looking at the files. Hopefully this gets the attention of someone with more coding/decompiling knowledge :) Will keep digging for now.
Just wanted to say, I don't see the missing bullet trail effect as a downside at all, in fact I like it and would have looked for a mod to remove that as well! I always found it ugly looking. So the mod is actually perfect to me as-is :)
Sorry for the hour. I already did what You tell me, and it doesn't work anyway. The other thing I'm considering to do is put those files into the Reality installation program
They have to be in tune_11generic.rpf under "...\update\game" (thanks algorith!) @Serghost6661 with Magic RDR make you sure you click File > Save > Current after replacing the files inside the .rpf
TommyDown Make sure you already have dinput8.dll (for Ultimate ASI Loader) in the game's root folder. (It should already be there if you use "Reality Redemption" mod)
Omarock I have redownloaded the file at the official GitHub link and now it works ! I do not know why my version was not functioning. Thanks for the advice !
Omarock I found out that the mod is not compatible with " ClipTweaks " ( removes DOF, bloom and such ) because the " dinput8.dll " file is proprietary and can't work for both. That is why Gun Barrel Smoke was not working for me in the first place, my " dinput8.dll " file was wrong.
Looks great! Could you add something like this for the bullet impact`on objects/ground as well? Like in RDR2 where dust will be blown up and many other particles flying around on the spot where the bullet impacts?
Nevermind, it was actually an un-intended side effect of my mod LMAO (I need to get more sleep). I'm not a firearm expert, but I think weapons like the revolver should not have casing ejection. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, uploading a fix shortly.
The case ejection effect is neat if you use an automatic pistol or a repeating long firearm, I wonder if we could put this for these weapons only and excludes revolvers and double barrels/single shots
TommyDown I don't think that is currently possible because all pistols are defined in the same weapon class and share one config file. You can only do it for the whole class (e.g all pistols or all rifles, etc...)

I think that's part of Reality Redemption. That's the only other mod I have installed.
