Choose one file from the list under the files tab, install only one at a time.
Set "server checksum" to disabled in gameplay settings to host MP.
Note: balanced for 2-4 players. Playing with SWAT AI bots will make all modes kind of easy...
Difficulties explained In order of difficulty (enemy accuracy, roamers and some timers) , from the most forgiving to least:
No Crack For You (main/default file - easy.) See main description tab for more info.
Some Crack - As a Treat (easy-medium) - similar to Vanilla, but slightly less accurate suspects at long range.
Cracked but Sweet (medium+) - most good players who don't mind dying every once in a while can start here.
Crack Attack (medium-hard, suspects ignore limbs and aim center mass/head) - a challenge if you don't go slow. You can die faster if your armor is broken.
Cracked Souls™ (hard - similar to Vanilla at launch, suspects ignore limbs and aim for center mass/head very accurately) - invite your friends and watch them suffer! You can die faster if your armor is broken.
Special variants:
Low intensity - lower number of suspects than vanilla, about 20-30% lower on average.
Overdose - Higher number of suspects than vanilla, about 50% higher on average. More roamer and random knife suspects. Slightly tuned timers on campus to account for more suspects.
No traps - Removes all traps and bomb vests. Some reports indicate Club has hard-coded bomb vests.
Heart Attack - So many suspects, up to 50 where the maps are large enough. New stuff on most maps, like alarms and bomb vests. Extreme amount of patrolling enemies opening doors and walking around. Further increased timers on campus. More surprises.
Warning: even having a custom map mod installed can break this mod, as the map author usually overwrites the AiLevelData.ini file.
Incompatible with other AI mods and anything modifying suspect count or traps through the AILevelData.ini file. May be compatible with mods that modify these values through other means, such as through blueprints. Confirmed incompatible (does NOT work together) with this no trap mod. Collection of nice and working stuff here: No Crack, No Mercy. My other mods: No Mercy for Terrorists. Scoreboard revamp that removes the nonlethal requirement for high scores, removes the need to pick up weapons and more. Multiple modes for choosing between a more realistic SWAT mode, or Milsim mode. Now with added WANTED: Dead or Alive mode for HVTs. No Stress for SWAT. Softens up the stress relief per turn and adds more therapy slots in Commander mode. No Suppression for SWAT - Removes suppression blur and camera shake for player.
Quick question. When I click to download one of the difficulties/special variants, it says I am required to download the no mercy for terrorists and no stress for swat. Do I actually need them for the difficulties to work?
Edit: Sorry, I now see in the description that they are optional.
Without those you'll probably get F or something every time on higher suspect counts, which is why I put it there for those specifically. In commander, that causes all your guys to off themselves and whatnot. The two mods will counter that.
Quick question, what difficulty is about the same as the lastest vanilla difficulty. Cause ive heard RoN enemies are insane but from my experience it was ok
Overhyped mod. Still get 1 tapped by suspects hiding around corners before i can even react. I have only ever been able to find 1 mod that makes this games AI not pieces of s#*! and its an old one that doesnt change suspect counts.
ever since the day i got this game i've regreted it. By far the most expensive game i've bought ever since i quit playing COD back in 2014 and i regret it. Modders cant even fix this game.
I had to remove the part that tweaked suspect on player vision after the DLC patch, due to it being too OP combined with the dev changes. They implemented a "fix" with vision cones, but it still needs some polish. Combined with my original changes it made the player invisible while leaning out from cover. Will probably tweak this a bit soon.
That being said, getting shot in the face will kill you no matter what mod you use, and suspects tend to aim there if they have been aware of you for over 1.5 seconds. Be sure to avoid going through doors where they are waiting for you without deployables.
Added some attempt at colour coding to the files tab, colours are in the sticky as well as in the image list up top (which can be opened/closed while browsing the files).
Probably a conflict. Do you have any other mods or custom maps installed? See troubleshooting guide.
To quickly test if the mod is installed correctly and working, I recommend just getting the heart attack variant and launching gas station. It should have 3-5 more suspects than normal. If it only has the average ~4 suspects, then it's not installed correctly or in conflict.
Define bombs. If you are talking about the actual bombs in hospital and college, then that's different than anything else. None of my mods remove those, but you can edit them out.
If you want to completely remove bombs from both Hospital and the College map, then change the variable to BTMaxBombs = 0. If it's set as MaxBombs = 0, then it'll still load them.
More No Traps variants would be so nice. I would need a Some Crack - As a Treat - Overdose - No Traps. I like the hospital mission but the runs get over quick by anybody with a bomb vest lol... Thanks
You can edit that yourself easily enough, just upload the pak file to the link in the description and remove the bombvests statement (or set it to 0). Then click generate mod, and use the newly generated pak file instead (it will download automatically).
Can you also do another Special Variant? because overdose is 50% more enemies and it shoots up to 50 enemies which is a huge jump so maybe between Overdose and heart attack like 75% - 100% more enemies and 50%-75% more civilians more civilians
i tried editing the custom default AiLevelData.ini file that was linked below but i don't know how to make it into .pak file
Thanks for the Reply. As for editing Pak files, do you think you point me in the direction of a Pak file unpacking tool? I've tried searching for one that works but I can't seem to find one.
Even the standard default version makes the ai even more cracked. Over 30 ai in twisted nerve for example and almost every time getting shot at in spawn.

Otherwise, you'll have to change the values under global at the top and the custom map will use that instead.
Also, any embedded AI file in the custom map pak file will have to be removed.
