minor changed - Ark/signalsystem/modifiers.xml is changed along with Arkane's latest official patch(Bloodmoon update). newly added - Hacking timer is now 99 seconds. - Some typhon abilities for player (Electrostatic Burst, Kinetic Blast, and Psychoshock) reach twice longer.
Honestly, I don't know when the change of "Ark/signalsystem/modifiers.xml" is added, but it seems that ether and laser(military operator's weapon) damages are lightened/strengthened correctly by the latest patch. It's better than old plain damage.
First of all, thanks for this amazing mod, while I enjoy the mod, I think there is too much ammo and items, and I would like to reduce it to vanilla like quantities.
Ok, so after a few tries, I renamed the "Swift_and_Easy_Play_v1_1.pak" onto "Swift_and_Easy_Play_v1_1.zip" made some changes to "arkpickups.xml" then zipped all together again, and changed the .zip to .pak, and throw it onto the mod folder of the game. Yet, i does not work...
I tried to do like you, I mean "I couldn't zip my modded files correctly to work for PREY. So, I used Arkane's patch.pak, unpak it to .zip, empty it, put my files, and rename it to like mymod.pak." and did not work either,
I tried to modify the "arkpickups.xml" directly from the zip file, and change it back to .pak, did not work either.
now I will try to just delete the "arkpickups.xml" file and see what happens.
Ok last edit I hope. While I wanted a *2 (and not a *6 or *10 for ammo and Items) I could not do it, so instead I will stick to "arkpickups.xml" vanilla. I will get more ammo and item from drops anyways.
You RENAMED it from PAK to ZIP, and after you made changes, instead of just RENAMING it back, from ZIP to PAK, you decided to ZIP it again, when all you needed to do was rename it again.
I'm having a hard time with this, too. You can't edit files in a ZIP folder. So how are we to edit the files and turn them back into PAK without first extracting them, editing them, re-zipping them, and then renaming them to PAK? Supposedly you can edit things if you use 7-Zip instead of window's ZIP. So I'm going to attempt that...
I'm playing Mooncrash again since I miss the game and it's probably been awhile since you've had a comment on your mod but it is a great mod and I'm loving it. The problem I have, and I can't quite wrap my mind around it...I played the Engineer for awhile, straight into the beginning of the 4th corruption level and then I left the sim with the shuttle, I did not die.....but going back the game made me reset the sim instead of getting the next person...I believe the security guy, forget his name. I thought I was going to continue on in the same sim as I was in with the Engineer, at least until the end of level 5?
I had experienced the sudden death too...about three times. It's rare, but it occurs even if you have no mods, so I think it's a bug of the game itself, unfortunately. In my case, it happened when I purchased the guns and ammo, returned the sim, and then the security guy(Vijay Bhatia) was dead before loading the moon base.
I do not know how to avoid it, but anyway it's rare, so you don't have to worry too much :)

I finished Mooncrash a long time ago and I did all the stressful, scary work so now it's nice to enjoy MC with a little less stress. I've started a new game so hopefully I won't have the same bug as before this time. Great mod!!
Sorry, I thought I was on the correct page. I commented to you the other day about MC sudden death. I thought I was dying whenever I left the moon in the shuttle with the engineer but I just hadn't unlocked the others yet. I forgot all about that. Teach me to not read anything, lol. I think the abundance of items and stuff makes more sense given that the Typhon outbreak happens so sudden and the PREY world is prosperous. Even Talos-1 regularly produce food and drink, even growing station variants of vegetables and fruits! Sincere thanks since this mod covers other gameplay-enhancing mods i've played back when i "free-trialed" this (well, since very late 2019 i bought the game because i immensely enjoyed it and i want updates and DLC given easily)
It's just a .zip. But you need to use Arkane's one, if not, your mod will not be applied in-game. Use Sir Kane's "Prey (2017) pak decryption tool" to convert Arkane's .pak to .zip. And empty it, and then put your files into it directly. Rename the .zip file to .pak.
I think it's possible, but not in the meaning of "import". Chipsets of Mooncrash are the combination of the base game ones. So, you can tweak signal system of each chipset of base game, make some combination of them like Mooncrash ones, and you can use them as same way on the moon. I don't think it is so difficult, you will find signal IDs of chipsets in Ark/SignalSystem/modifiers.xml.

Put the file not to ordinary precache folder, but to "STEAM\steamapps\common\Prey\Whiplash\GameSDK\Precache" folder. Updated: Increased loot items. Use both optional files.
Mooncrash version is: Corruption timer is 10 times longer. You can fabricate ammo, grenades, consumable items 6^10 times more. You can bring items by 30000 in one stack. Easier hacking Recovery from water is 20, and metabolic boost perk will 5 times more.
I recommend fabricating grenades, psi hypos, or T-ration for more materials. It's alchemy.

Decrypted xml file will be read by prey's engine when it's in the Arkane's zip file.
That makes things easier.
Now, I just need to figure out how to turn everything back into a PAK file, unless that's just a ZIP renamed to PAK

Chipsets of Mooncrash are the combination of the base game ones.
So, you can tweak signal system of each chipset of base game, make some combination of them like Mooncrash ones, and you can use them as same way on the moon.
I don't think it is so difficult, you will find signal IDs of chipsets in Ark/SignalSystem/modifiers.xml.
