Changes in 1.1:
  • Added user config file with UMM settings support to allow changing of default maximum limits
  • Added checks for default values if loading from a previous save that didn't have the mod
  • Fixed manufacturing limits window being disabled until factory was built: now window is enabled, but the manufactured resources section is disabled until factory is built

New Limits for Resources

Limits can be set on raw and processed resources, behaving slightly differently depending on the type:
  • Ore - Colonists and Bots will not go to work in mines if the total Ore supply is above the limit.
  • Vegetables, StarchVitromeat and Medicinal Plants - Biologists will not maintain Pads or Tissue Synthesizers if all of their products are above their limits. Unmaintained components will gradually lose condition and stop producing output below a certain level. Eg. Starchy vegetable pads will continue to be maintained if either Vegetables or Starch are below their limits.
  • Metal and Bioplastic - Colonists and Bots will not keep these processors stocked with raw materials if they are above their limits so they will stop producing once their inventories are empty.

Tip - beware setting the limits for food too low. Unmaintained pads take a while to begin producing again and your colony may starve before you get your first harvest!
Improved Manufacting Limits Window

  • The Manufacting Limits window has been reorganized into separate Resources, Manufactered and Bots sections.
  • The quantity selectors have been improved to allow any value (not just multiples of 5 or 10). They now always increment by 1 and you can use Shift and Ctrl to multiply by 10 and 100.
  • The maximum values for each limit has been increased: 10000 for Resources, 1000 for Manufactured; 100 for Bots.

Installation:

For Unity Mod Manager
  • Download and extract Unity Mod Manager.
  • Within the extracted files, run UnityModManager.exe.
  • Select Planetbase from the Game dropdown and ensure your installation of Planetbase is selected in the Folder field.
  • Hit Install.
  • Download ImprovedManufactingLimits.zip (Unity Mod Manager version).
  • Open the Mods tab and drop in ImprovedManufactingLimits.zip (alternatively, add the contents of the zip file to a "\Mods\ImprovedManufacturingLimits" folder in the game's install directory)

For Patcher/Redirector
  • Ensure your game is Patched.
  • Ensure you have installed Redirector.
  • Download ImprovedManufacturingLimits.zip from Old Files
  • Extract the file contents to "...\Documents\Planetbase\Mods". You should see an 'ImprovedManufactingLimits.dll' file.
