About this mod

Increases the maximum party size to 12.

Changelogs
This mod is not compatible with the new Steam beta patch (maybe... it doesn't have the obvious issue my other mods do, and I was able to add party members past the normal limit, but I didn't test further than that and I wouldn't be surprised if there were other issues). I plan to update this mod when that patch goes live, but (probably) not before.

Description

With this mod installed, the maximum party size is increased to 12 from 6. This mod adjusts various parts of the UI to fit the increased party size. This mod does not scale the difficulty of the game.

Known issues
  • In scripted interactions (and a few conversations) that require selecting a party member to perform an action (cast a spell, pass a skill check, etc.), only the party members in the first six slots (and the player, if they are not in one of the first six slots) are available to select. You can rearrange your party's portraits to control which party member is in which slot (the leftmost portrait is the first slot, the rightmost portrait is the last).
  • When exiting or entering a map or when being repositioned as a result of a cutscene, conversation, or scripted interaction, party members may be positioned awkwardly. Only report issues with party positioning if a party member is stuck or "left behind" somewhere in a way that can't be fixed by manually moving the party.
  • When opening the main inventory window ("i" hotkey by default), the party members' individual inventories will (very rarely!) not appear. You can click a party member's portrait, scroll over the panel or use the scrollbar, or just close and reopen the window to fix this.
  • Clickable icons to transition to another map that would normally appear along the bottom of the screen tend to group up near the bottom corners of the screen due to the extended party portrait bar blocking where they would normally appear. You can zoom in and reposition the camera to display the icons more accurately.
  • During the first step of the quest The Grey Sleeper, the party member wielding the weapon must be in one of the first six slots when interacting with "the whirling agent made of copper, adra, stone" to progress the quest. You can rearrange your party's portraits to control which party member is in which slot (the leftmost portrait is the first slot, the rightmost portrait is the last).
  • The tooltips for some buttons on the "action bar"/"central HUD" extend off-screen.
  • There are no hotkeys for selecting the 11th or 12th member of the party individually.
If you encounter an issue not listed here, leave a detailed bug report with steps to reproduce the issue and any information you think may be relevant, including other mods you have installed.

Installation

Compatibility

This mod should work for both new and existing saves.

This mod is compatible with all of my other Pillars of Eternity mods. This mod can be compatible with other mods that replace or modify Assembly-CSharp.dll, depending on what is modified. Some of this mod's UI changes are disabled when IE Mod is installed; you have to use IE Mod's UI customization feature to "fix" the UI yourself. I haven't thoroughly tested any other mods, but from a glance, all other Patchwork mods on the Nexus should be compatible.

BepInEx (and therefore, this mod) does not seem to work with this game for Mac/Linux.

To install

To install BepInEx (if you haven't already installed BepInEx for another mod)
Do only one of the following depending on where you purchased the game:
  • For Steam and GOG: Download BepInEx_x86_5.4.22.0.zip from here and extract the .zip to the folder containing your game's executable (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity).
  • For Epic Games: Download BepInEx_x64_5.4.22.0.zip from here and extract the .zip to the folder containing your game's executable (e.g. C:\Games\Epic Games\PillarsOfEternity\win). After installing mods but before launching your game, delete the BepInEx.cfg file from your game's \BepInEx\config folder
To install this mod
  • Download and extract the mod .zip into the folder containing your game's executable (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity) and overwrite existing files if prompted.
  • Launch the game.

To uninstall
  • Make sure any saves you want to continue using without the mod installed have no more than 6 active party members.
  • To uninstall this mod: Remove GatherYourParty.dll from your game's \BepInEx\plugins folder.
  • To uninstall BepInEx: Remove the BepInEx folder, winhttp.dll file, and doorstop_config.ini file from the folder containing your game's executable.
