First, install the PPDefModifier mod if you don't have it yet - https://github.com/tracktwo/ppdefmodifier/releases This mod's archive contains a .json file and a .7z file. Place the .json file in your Mods/PPDefModifier folder. Install the .7z using Modnix, or unpack it into Mods manually.
I like the idea of this mod, but think some of the tweaks should be more subtle to keep things more balanced.
Like Bulldog is already a good AR against armor. I suggest only increasing the shred to 3 and not change the damage. This makes it more distinct as a high caliber AR designed against armored targets, while not making it just the overall strongest AR of its tier.
I like the changes to Deimos. Since fire damage is blocked by armor and because shot count is reduced it makes it slightly stronger AR versus low to no armor targets making it more distinctly the precision weapon it is supposed to be.
For Piranha I suggest not changing the damage and just giving it shred 2 and piercing up to 20. That makes it kinda an upgraded Bulldog that is designed to match the armor increase that the late game enemies have. I think the main weakness of this weapon is that it has no shred and that the piercing is too low to make a difference, so it doesn't really have any use in late game.
Imo Yar doesn't need a change. Now its just a nerf to enemies. Also I think the acid AR is fine as is because acid damage is strong and doesnt require ammo, but its supposed to be a unique special weapon so I dont know.
As for shotguns Id start with buffing mercy and making it more distinct from iconoclast. The problem I see is that since mercy is a researchable weapon it comes at a time when you get access to iconoclasts making it almost useless. Maybe good way would be to make mercy the shotgun that deals more damage, but doesn't shred while giving iconoclast shred.
Great mod man, i love it. I just wish you could do this without the Jscript and do it as a JSON like the other mods, but still thank you for doing this! feels more like classic xcom now
May I suggest downsizing the mod to one json file? you might be getting upload errors because of that. also try placing files in one zip folder and scan files for viruses maybe ur pc is infected
