The mod is outdated and haven't been updated since 2019. You can use assortment adjustments that has this functionality added. It also replaces retrievable items and partially Skip Intro but you can disable that from AA and use Skip intro that is more complete. Don't have the last DLC so I'm not sure if AA works for that.
I don't think this mod works any longer. Tried it with PPML 0.3 and the game refuse to start for me (just a black screen with a mouse cursor). And the PPModLoader log doesn't say anything either.
is this still working as intended? i haven't played in a long time and i remember it being good. but sp felt slower and i just read in the wiki that every mission gives 10sp per soldier, i have been getting much less. is the wiki outdated?
PPML v0.2 does not recognize 0.1 mods - it is a decision made by Ijwu. But if I upgrade to it, PPML v0.1 users would crash. Between crashing and not working (and make two versions which quickly become a mess), I choose not working.
You may downgrade to PPML v0.1, or you may also try my new mod loader, Modnix, which support both kind of mods.
Edit: PPML 0.3 should be compatible with 0.1 mods, so that's another option now.
The mods still work as is. PPML's injector must be re-ran after every game patch to re-enable every mod. I'm adding a notice to all my mods since I just realised that this information is not communicated by PPML.
PPML = Phoenix Point Mod Loader. The loader has several parts.
- The Injector hijacks game code so that it will run the loader. This is an exe. - The Loader, which is a dll that you cannot run directly, find and load the mods. - Harmony, same, used by mods to modify the game. - Cecil, same, used by injector to hijack the game.
So, when you first install PPML, or after game is patch / reinstalled / verified, you need to run injector once. After injection, the game will call the Loader, which will run the mods.
Like the idea of this mod a lot. It would be nicer still if the amount of XP gained could be modified by INI file in some way - personally I would double the amount, as 0-2 SP per mission means a ***LOT*** of missions before being able to raise the stats on the troops significantly.
But regardless, thank you for your effort, appreciated.
Bringing less soldiers will cause each of them to get more SP. You can also have one soldier abuse his/her OP abilities to get the lion's share for reliable SP. In the long term when the modding tools and community have matured a bit, I'll make it configurable. (Or some mod packers will do :)

It's rather unfortunate this game has a shitty leveling system. I much preferred the way old X-COM did it, or even a game like Xenonauts.
