About this mod

Changes Radiance from a Longsword into a Greatsword.

There are nearly thirty alternate versions including Starknife, Bastard Sword, Falcata, Longspear, and Dueling Sword. Don't see your MC's preferred weapon? Just ask.

GreatRadiance

Availability of unique magical weapons is largely restricted to either longswords or one of the weird exotic weapons like sai's which literally no one wants to use but the game is covered with. There are probably about 20 different named longswords in the game, to maybe 3-4 decent greatswords, arguably the most popular weapon for front-line martials in Pathfinder. And of course, the legendary Paladin weapon that plays a special role in the entire adventure...is also a longsword, because why make anyone want to actually use one of those 20 other ones?

If you're like me you were profoundly disappointed when you discovered that the game would force you to choose between playing with the weapon you wanted to or having to pass the game's iconic sword to a companion. Especially since in the Adventure Path on which this is based, Radiance is actually supposed to transform into a Paladin's preferred weapon. This mod is my attempt to remedy that. GreatRadiance changes all versions of Radiance into a greatsword, and gives all magical versions of it the Evil Outsider Bane enchantment for good measure, to make up for the inability to enchant weapons and the absence of the 'Oath of the Crusade' archetype.

DISCLAIMER: This mod is not made for installation with the Unity Mod Manager. Read the installation instructions very carefully. I am not a C# coder, therefore this mod was made utilizing Owlcat's Wrath Modification Template for Unity.

Modfinder Installation (Preferred Method): Download and install Modfinder by WittleWolfie at:
https://github.com/Pathfinder-WOTR-Modding-Community/ModFinder
Download GreatRadiance, then drag and drop the zip folder onto the "Drag zips here to install" block at the bottom of the Modfinder interface.

Manual Installation Instructions:
*A thorough installation manual in pdf format with extensive screenshot clarification is now available in the 'Files'  section under 'Miscellaneous'.
1.
 Navigate to user-folder/AppData/LocalLow/Owlcat Games/Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous/ and create a new folder named 'Modifications'.
2. Unzip the mod and place the 'GreatRadiance' folder and all its contents in there.
3. Create a file named 'OwlcatModificationManagerSettings.json' and place it within user-folder/AppData/LocalLow/Owlcat Games/Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous/
*4. Open 'OwlcatModificationManagerSettings.json' in notepad and add the modification to it by inputting:
{
     "EnabledModifications": ["GreatRadiance"]
}
5. Obtain Radiance, either by playing until you find it or loading up a game in which you've already gotten it.
6. Enjoy!

*If you're running another Unity-developed Mod such as my BetterBackgrounds mod simultaneously, the syntax looks like this
{
      "EnabledModifications": ["BetterBackgrounds", "GreatRadiance"]
}

Alternate Versions:
There are numerous alternate versions of GreatRadiance available as optional files which replace Radiance with weapons other than Greatsword. Installation is identical. It is not possible to run multiple versions of this Mod at the same time. That said, it is simply a matter of swapping out the GreatRadiance folder in the Modifications folder to change between versions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q:
Help! I've followed the instructions but nothing happened - Radiance is still a longsword.
A: Doublecheck the 'OwlcatModificationManagerSettings' file you created. Ensuring that file extensions are turned on, is the full name with extensions 'OwlcatModificationManangerSettings.json.txt'? If so, eliminate the '.txt' and that should fix the problem. If it's still not working, hit me up in the comments or over DM and I'll help you troubleshoot.
Q: My game isn't starting.
A: There is almost a 100% chance other mods are at fault here. The most common cause until recently was a conflict between AutoBuff and TableTopTweaks.
Q: What about Natural Attacks/Unarmed Strikes?
A: Unfortunately this is something I just can't figure out how to do right now. I do genuinely want to bring the option to use Radiance to monks, Paladins of Irori, and the like but it's just not within my ability at the moment. Rest assured I *will* make this option if and when that changes.
