    I use the steam version. There is no portraits directory, and creating one has had no effect, also, the mod manager I saw suggested, unity, does not accept the zip file. Any suggestions?

      Are you on Windows 11? Someone else mentioned the correct path for W11 is different:

      The correct path [in Windows 11] is "C:\Users\[UserNameHere]\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Kingmaker\Portraits"
