Any chance of this mod getting ported to WotR?

I haven't had time to look at save bloat yet. I will though, i have to get InventoryTweaks done first, then loot checklist.

Hello - do you still plan to look at this for WOTR? I see save file bloat is still a thing there which Owlcat's apparently unwilling/unable to fix, and at least part of the reason may be this same bloating history file within the saves. I used this mod in Kingmaker, and it seemed to help. Cheers!

Is this history file still part of the game? :D I looked in the steam folder and in AppData/LocalLow/OwlCat Games/... but could not find it ^^

edit: Ok. Got it. The Savegame is a compressed archive. can be opened with zip or winrar to inspect the content ^^

    hi!
I installed it and gave an error: I said I need version 0.22 of the manager, I use version 0.22.9 but it says that the version within the game is 0.21. do you know what i have to do to update the in-game version?

On the main tab of the Unity Mod Manager you must install the newer version in the game itself. Just click the big install button at the top. And to clarify this the the program you run to manage/install mods not the in-game mod menu.

Hey Ham what with the new update that Owlcat put out, is this mod still needed/desirable?

    Quote:
"The Fog of War data storage format in the saved games has been changed, thus decreasing the files’ size. Special thanks to our player hambeard for this idea!"

I haven't looked but I think that the new update only pertains to fog of war and doesn't change how it logs to the history file.

What does the History file normally do?

Nothing, it's just a log. It might get sent during bug reports, but it gets big. It is usually one of the largest files in the save data.

You can use it to track your progress for some quests, for example Magical Prison - using https://rhiyo.gitlab.io/pfkm-helper/

I never knew of such a thing, neat. It's just looking for kills of a certain mobs I'd guess. I still rather not have a huge log in my save.
