The version 2.0.8 and earlier of Kingmaker (don't confuse this with current mod version, BetterVendors 2.0.8 works as intended with the latest version of Kingmaker) is not supported any longer, do not open tickets about any issues dealing with 2.0.8. GOING TO THE MERCHANT GUILD WILL BE IN YOUR SAVE DATA! I haven't had the time for testing but traveling and doing business with the merchant guild will be in your save data and could break saves if you UNINSTALL THIS MOD.
Better Vendors 2.0+ has the following:
- added a merchant guild that can be accessed from the throne room only. The guild contains 14 new vendors that contain rare/unique loot from the game if you have coin to spend. Teleport there from the UMM menu when you are in the throne room. While in the guild hall, open the map to see all the map markers of the different vendors. You must use UMM to teleport back to the throne room.
- throne room vendors have zero fluff talk, right to business.
- any transaction with throne room vendors will reflect to their outside the throne room counter parts.
- keep a certain number of trash items. Even items normally sold on the trash list can be kept. Ex. If torches are placed on the trash list and you set it to keep 4 of them those 4 wont be sold by the offer button or auto sell. Find the trash list and keep functionality in the mod's setting tab.
- Check the change log above for new bug fixes and changes.
Known Issues:
- Minor visual bug of trash items not updating correctly in vendor inventories. Trash still sells fine.
This mod is not compatible with the Highlight Learnable Scrolls mod, please remove it. This mod includes the functionality of that mod as a replacement.
- You are the ruler of these lands, there is no reason you should have to walk out to the shops after a hard day of adventuring. The vendors from town can now be enabled in your throne room in either the default positions set by the mod, or your very own custom location inside your throne room. Don't worry though, they will be in their normal spots too. Chose from 4 different vendors. You must enable the vendors in the options menu if you want them in the throne room. You must be in proximity of the vendor for them to show up visually. So you might not see them from your throne, but will if you walk closer to them. To enable them be in the throne room, go to UMM, and click Enable for default position or Spawn for placing them exactly where your character is standing.
- This mod includes my vendor inject mod. Type in an item you'd like to add to a vendor, find it, and click add. Now includes adding to the dragon vendor inside/outside the campaign. Added alphabetical listings, search for generic item types will return unique named items(ex. Dagger will return Arcane Protector) and filtered most of the invalid items that shouldn't be sold. You can add the entire search list to a vendor by clicking the button under the vendor selector.
- Create a trash loot list that will transfer to the sell list when you click the offer button inside a vendor screen. Add/Remove items from the list by holding Ctrl+Clicking on a item. By default trash items are shown as faded red icons, but this can be customized in the settings section. There is also an option to just automatically sell the list every time you enter the throne room without having to visit a vendor. These items are aren't sold to a particular vendor so no buying them back, so be careful. You can see a list of your garbage items in the settings section, just click the button next to it to remove an item. Items are your characters body are ignored, and can't be ctrl clicked either. Be aware that if an item type is on the list, and you remove it to your stash it'll be flagged as trash. Saving individual items will be part of the next version.
- As stated above the mod that highlights unlearned scrolls is not compatible so I added the functionality to this mod. By default the highlight is green, but this can be customized in the options. It is important to remove it if you want the highlighting of loot on your junk list to function properly.
- Includes a fixed version of the Vendor Progression mod! It functions the same way the old mod did, and progress is based of your kingdom stats. Usually if you level up certain stats, it'll add items to certain vendors. Don't worry about starting a new game, it'll add anything you missed as well. It seems abandoned and as per their posted permissions I've fixed it and included it in my mod.
- Language support if you'd like to do a translation, let me know and I'll add the language file to the download. You can get the template by using the export button in the settings tab. It'll be put in the mod folder under localization.
- Uninstalling mod during a save game is not recommended and will probably break the save, upgrading the mod will not break anything unless noted.
