I'm sure it's been said before but I'm going to reiterate it....
Can you expand on this mod or make another one where you do the same for all animal companions/familiars? I love my elk companion, but that screeching noise it makes has made me jump more than once. I have no idea how difficult it would be to translate this mod to the other animals, but it would be appreciated SO much. This is definitely a problem that needs fixed in the game.
I don't plan on making more sound mods for the time being, but there's a bit of a hamfisted fix for your elk problem if your only issue is its screeching.
Go to your Pathfinder directory, say "steamapps\common\Pathfinder Kingmaker\Kingmaker_Data\StreamingAssets\Audio\GeneratedSoundBanks\Windows" and delete CRE_Elk.bnk. Remember to create a backup. I've never played with an Elk before but the Elk should be mute whilst still producing footsteps sounds.
This mod is ingenious. As others also have noted however, there is a general need for a silence pets/familiars mod. I swear, if I have to listen to that damned hare thumping around for one more second...
i really would like to play this game but i suffer from crippling arachnophobia would it be possible for you to make a mod that remove the spiders / change their visuals or anything like that ? i would prob instantly fall in love with you
