If you wish to add a fortify on self-effects on the bound weapons, you might want to take a look at the unique sword that comes with the Battlehorn Castle DLC.
The Dragonsword of Lainlyn grants a lesser power well-equipped.
And I believe the Script only needs a few adjustments to be able to grant a fortify effect on self instead.    :3

Can you fix it showing the bound equipment as quest items? It can be annoying to have multiple in your inventory that you can't drop

Already does, this was also carried over from the original UOP.

More than anything else, since I would like to keep the purple glowy thing, could you make a version where all bound armor are considered either light or heavy? Right now it is a mix like old oblivion (body and greaves are heavy afaik)

By default the mod changed them to light, and I had actually already made a version that changed them all to heavy for myself, uploading it so you'll have a choice.

I was only able to test with Bound Dagger, but it doesn't appear to be implemented in a way that works. The dagger has the Absorb Blade enchantment, but 0/0 charges, which gives 0 uses. Every attack pops up the warning "The enchanted item does not have enough charge."

    • Bound Greaves: +10 Agility (in Morrowind, gauntlets were separate, so this enchantment effect was originally on the right gauntlet, while the left gauntlet got +10 Hand to Hand)

    Those are the greaves oopsies
