Hello Author, This is a great mod along with your Deer and Wolves one, but is there any chance you can make them have the same aggression values against horses? At first I thought this mod didn't work until I noticed it was my horse they were after not me.
That seems a whole new mod to do. However I'll look into it.
edit: It seems only wild horses have max aggression. I tested with a Armoured Old Nag/Shadowmere and a Chestnut. Crabs didn't attack at all. On or off horse. Crabs will attack you, if your weapon is drawn and you are too close, which causes your horse to retaliate.
If you notice in the images section, I caught a crab walking along side a mounted Imperial Guard, just chilling. What type of horse have you got?
Okay that's good to know. I am still using Prior Maborel's Paint Horse.
The only mods I have editing the horses are editing their speed slightly and making them essential. I may try with those mods off incase something odd is happening there.
Edit: I tried with all other mods removed, and for some reason they still don't like my horse. I can approach them fine (and they won't attack) but whenever I ride by on my horse they start attacking it specifically.
I tried with Prior Maborel's Paint Horse and was attacked. Pretty funny to watch, a horse scarpering with a crab on its heels. I noticed, that particular horse is in the 'Horse' category. The others I tested are in 'Creatures' But If I changed Maborel's cat to creature I can't ride it. Also the horse's aggression was 0. It also has a script attached to it. Basically a transfer of ownership, if you choose to accept the offer.
I'll try again in a few days as I'm at work most of week.
Thanks for this mod. Mudcrabs are the weakest yet most abundant and annoying aggro creature in the game. Reminds me of wolves in skyrim or clifffracers in morrowind. Step out of a cave, mudcrab snipping your toenails. Walk across the imperial bridge and see red dots on compass? Mudcrabs. They need to learn their place in the food chain. lol
Could you do one for wolves and timberwolves? They are every 5 feet in this game, and it gets super annoying. There's a friendly animal mod, but it makes too many animals non hostile in my opinion
That sounds like the perfect way to implement that feature. Wolves would still be aggressive but not annoying anymore. I’ve tested it, and wolves no longer attack, but I couldn’t trigger them to be aggressive by bumping into them
I was pushing a Timber Wolf around and it didn't attack. Tried jumping on it. Nope. Then it occurred to me. What If my weapon was drawn? Remember, people don't like it, when you talk to them with your weapon drawn! Soon as my weapon was drawn and bumped into Mr T.Wolf, it immediately attacked me. Resurrected(Wolf), tried again. Weapon drawn will provoke it.
Of course, sods law states that someone will say "But my weapon was drawn and nothing" lol

May I ask if this mod is compatible with Ascension and/or More Enemies?
In testing, you can walk around them, but bumping into them or pushing them, sets them off. Let me know how it goes.
