@Snugls You're right, it's just that it would be good to know if this mod would synergize with Lumiere if the two would break one another. Similar things happen in Skyrim and the authors will sometimes make compatibility patches or state they two are incompatible outright. Having said that, I acknowledge this mod is super brand new and maybe these things can happen over time.
have you heard of communication? ever heard of Discord servers?
- "hey guys I'm gonna make a mod that does such and such"
- "hey I am actually working on something like that already, wanna combine forces?"
- "sure, why waste time making 2 mediocre mods that will conflict with each other, require a bunch of patches and confuse the modding community when we can make the ultimate mod that will work out of the box and won't divide the community into supporting two separate mods. we can make it modular so it fits everyone's taste too!"
In the olde days there was a benefit for mod authors to work together. Back then they were building tools, discovering standards, building the cathedral. Seems Nexus much prefers to promote the parlor view of modding.
There is no mandate or reason for modders to work together with the kind of behavioral reinforcement.
Also consider that many mods being put out currently will not be supported long term. It is the long term support that gets the most patches and most love really.
they are even splitting mods into separate pages now to get more money out of ads like Community Shaders for Skyrim where the author has split the mod into 10 different pages under different accounts so he can milk downloads as much as possible
Is this an attempt at a port of this mod? Lights of Oblivion - road lanterns? It looks like the flag lamp version of that mod minus the flag. Or are you saying you made this mod yourself?
[edit] Well I looked in edit and loaded this mod alongside the other in OGblivion. and it seems they are unique in placement.
Lol....There is another guy here that has been working night and day to do the same thing, only sleeping 1 hour a day for a week now and you come along and pull a Bethesda on him like they did to Skyblivion.... just before he is about to release his full and lite version. ...Will you be giving a free download code to your mod to him to make up for it ?......... lol
Just joking, sorry I couldn't help make the joke, I'm an impulsive shiity part time comedian.
You know this IS all pretty funny, when I first law Lumi, I was like "oh look, its like Lanterns of Skyrim! Cool!" Then boom, here we are...the OG Lanterns guy walks in and just drops road lanterns right in front of Lumiere lmao
Hey, I think it's fine that you made a mod you like, and then decided to share it with nexus. I'm not going to add extra context to what you did, and just complain. Thanks for sharing this!
i wish i can use this mod for the roads and lumiere for the cities. i really like how lumiere did in the waterfront district, i like the atmosphere it makes. but the lights on the roads are a bit too many..
What we need is a patch mod, removing Lumiere’s road lanterns but keeping their town and city editions, and using the road lanterns from this one. I like Lumiere, but it feels a bit odd that they are so frequent. Who’s lighting the lanterns, miles away from any town?

Two mods, more choices.

donation points have been a disaster for modding
